Dear Parent/Guardian:

Your child has been invited to Park Avenue Schools Extended Day Program. The program
will begin on Monday, November 27th. This is a wonderful opportunity for your child to get
assistance in ELA or Math. We hope you will give your child permission to attend bay
signing the permission slip at the bottom of this letter.

The morning session will begin at 7:45 a.m. and the afternoon session will end at 4:20 p.m.
Transportation will be provided for the afternoon session only. A bus number will be sent
home once we receive it from the Transportation Office. The children who attend the
morning session will be able to have breakfast at school after the tutoring session has ended.
In addition, a snack will be provided for the students attending the afternoon session. Your
child will be placed in the a.m. session or p.m. session based on space and preference.
The schedule for the program is:

Mondays, Wednesdays and Thursdays

You will receive a letter verifying your childs enrollment or notifying you that you child has
been placed on a waiting list. Attendance is mandatory for your child to take part in this
extraordinary opportunity. Therefore, if a child has three unexcused absences, he/she will be
removed from the program. Please have your child return the bottom portion of this letter to
his/her teacher by Monday, November 13, 2017. Feel free to call me with any questions or
concerns you may have. As always, thank you for your continued support.
