Justification:
In this activity, students will learn the 3D shape; the 3D shape is any shape or object that takes up
airspace.; the activity is a worksheet, and they will color the shape in the particular color that the
teacher will say it. For example, color the cone in red, and they will do it individually. This activity
will develop the listening skills when they listen to the teacher instruction for color the shape, and
understand the name of each shape, also develop their confidence in facing texts with new vocabulary
(Brumfit,Moon,& Tongue,1991).First, they will learn the vocabulary of the shape, for example, cone,
pyramid, prism, cube, sphere, and cylinder. I chose this activity for grade 1, because in this grade
they start to learn the 3D shape in math and who many face for each shape. In pre-listing, the teacher
uses the object of 3D shape which is in the teacher resource to present the lesson, and teacher can ask
the student to like the shape of something real. For example, the shape of ice cream is like the cone,
and teacher can present some pictures to show them the example, it's in teacher resources also, and
let the teacher touch it. According to Piaget, using the idea that the child now might understand the
connection between an object and the symbol that it represents, that means when the children see the
real object they will learn easily. Then in a while, listing teacher the teacher will play the shape songs
and let the student repeat with the songs the shape name. In the last step in a post-listening the teacher
will give them the worksheet with colors and start to say each shape with color, and they will color
this shape (Loop,n.d).
