The student teacher will review the steps of how to write a procedural text using a
PowerPoint.
In the PowerPoint:
Slide 1: the name of the topic (procedural text).
Slide 2: The learning outcome.
Slide 3: The first part of the procedural text (What I will make?)
Slide 4: the second part of procedural text (What I will need?)
Slide 5: the third part of procedural text (How I will do it?)
Slide 6: the transition words that they will use while writing procedural text (first, next,
then, last, finally).
Slide 7: picture of the writing paper called (procedural writing).
Slide 8: sample of writing procedural writing of game.
Core (introduce and practice new concepts & procedures): 25 minutes
1. The student teacher will show to the students a sample of writing a steps of a game
called Egg Race. Then she will model how to do the actions for this games before the
students present their presentations.

2. Then student teacher will give each group their materials, and count down to 1 so the
one students from each group will flip up the timer to start their writing and practicing
with actions.
3. The student teacher will place the transition words flash cards on the board.
4. The groups are mix abilities.

Group 1:
Students will work together to write and present with actions to the other students a game using
procedural text. They will write about steps of a game called black shoes.
Student teacher will provide to them the materials such as:
A4 paper called procedural writing.
Timer setup for 15.
The instruction card.

Group 2:
Students will work together to write and present with actions to the other students a game using
procedural text. They will write about steps of a game called hiding game.
Student teacher will provide to them the materials such as:
A4 paper called procedural writing.
Hat for the police, hats for the criminal.
Timer setup for 15.
The instruction card.

Group 3:
Students will work together to write and present with actions to the other students a game using
procedural text. They will write about steps of a game called Bingo.
Student teacher will provide to them the materials such as:
A4 paper called procedural writing.
Bingo squares, colors, bingo answers sheet.
Timer setup for 15.
The instruction card.

Group 4:
Students will work together to write and present with actions to the other students a game using
procedural text. They will write about steps of a game called drawing competition.
Student teacher will provide to them the materials such as:
A4 paper called procedural writing.
Colors, papers, hat of the leader, timer setup for 2 minutes.

The instruction card.

The student teacher will stop the activity by counting down from 5 to 1.
The student teacher will observe the groups and give hints to the students each 2 minutes.
For the behavior management: student teacher will remind the students to be in the task, to
listen to each other, and listen to the instructions. That will give you 3 class dojo, if you do the
opposite that will take away 3 class dojo.

Close (wrap up, discussion, brief review activity or assessment): 12 minutes

Students will present their work to the whole class with the actions. Each group will spend
about 3 minutes in their presentations.
5. The student teacher will ask the students what they learn.
She will give one minute for the groups to discussion together, then student teacher will
choice a student to tell her.

Student teacher will reward the students who will present well by giving stickers.
