Activit With the assumption that students have

the proper devices for this assignment- i.e.
mobile devices, tablet, or iPad, students
will be asked to launch their devices app
store/market. Once there, they will type in
the search bar, Chegg flashcards. After
downloading and starting the app, they will
be asked to type in the deck name,
description(optional), and select the
category (only available if the app is
purchased). Information for the various
parts will be provided on the board. One
by one, students will type in new concepts
and terminology associated with the
scientific method on the top part that that
says word. Then at the bottom, which is
the back side of the flashcard, they will
write a definition of the concept/term. For
example, the word can be scientific
method, and definition could be a process
through which scientists use to solve a
given problem step by step. Other terms
can but not limited to hypothesis, theory,
independent variable, dependent variable

Given that this is independent work,
students may not have the
Google doc is an important application especially for
working on group projects. In the same way they
downloaded flashcards, they will use the same steps for
google steps. Students will open their devices app
store/market and in the search bar, they will type in
google docs. Upon successful download and launch, they
will be divided into odd/even numbered group, however
that would depend on the class size though groups cant
exceed more than five members. Each of the groups will
be given different scenario prompt that involves
application of the scientific method. They will then work
as a group to identify/discuss the various steps of the
scientific method as it pertains to the scenarios, and
type their responses in google doc. For example, they
will need to identify the problem, write down
observations, and so forth. Students will also write down
hypothesis, test the hypothesis, and record findings etc.
They will also need to identify dependent and
independent variable, and constants, if any, in their
activity. All data will have to be recorded in google docs.
Although they may write down their notes in their
books, students will have to transfer it to google docs.
Once the activity is completed, individual groups will
share their findings/activity with the rest of the class.
NOTE: An explanation will be given on how to use google
doc for the group activity. Also, an example of the
TLED 430
terminologies/concepts in the same exact
order as fellow classmates. Also, the
concepts/terms will be listed on the board
for reference purposes and just so theyre
aware of what terms need to be on the
flashcard.

and sign in using their Facebook credential or might as
well signup for an account. For google docs, students
must have a Gmail account before using the app.
Therefore, if some do not have a google account, they
will need to create one.
