General Purpose: Inform.

Specific Purpose: To inform the class about brushing your teeth and the benefits.

I. Introduction

A. Attention Getter: Did you know that drinking soda and juice is the

most significant cause for cavities and an unhealthy oral cavity?

B. Preview: Very few items necessary. 8 steps.

II. Body

A. Importance of healthy teeth

i. Taking care of your teeth prevents plaque build up that sticks

to your teeth

ii. This breaks down into acids that eat away at your teeth

iii. Cavities and unhealthy gums will occur

B. Materials

1) Toothbrush

2) Toothpaste

3) Mouthwash

4) Floss
 5) Bathroom (preferably)

C. Steps/Process

1) Apply toothpaste on toothbrush

2) Rinse with cold water

3) Brush starting with circular motion

4) Rinse toothbrush and continue brushing with circular motion

to all teeth

5) Brush tongue

6) Rinse and rinse toothbrush

7) Floss in between teeth

8) Use mouthwash
