Exclusion area

The vertical version of the logo should be

used in online and other digital services. x

The horizontal version is preferred for the x

universitys schools, as this gives slightly

more emphasis to the text component and
makes the name of the school easier to read.

Location
The Aalto University logo should be placed
in the upper or lower left-hand corner of
the page.
When placing the logo, allowance should be
made for the exclusion area that surrounds
it on all sides, as in the case of printed mate-

down menu and provide an overview of
the contents of the area concerned. It also
enables the user to find the items that they
are looking for quickly and easily.

schools
The header on the pages of the universitys
schools is smaller and takes the form of
a band of colour coordinated to match the
schools colour.
This is intended to prevent users confusing
a schools pages with the universitys pages
or those of other schools.
Click here gives the user access to the up-
per navigation area of the universitys pages.
Direct links are used to select different lan-
guages or open the search function, without
having to open the entire header.
