FAMOUS MOUNTAINS IN INDIA

Kangchenjunga, also spelled Kanchenjunga, is the third highest mountain in the world, and lies
partly in Nepal and partly in Sikkim, India.

Nanda Devi is the second highest mountain in India, and the highest located entirely within the
country. It is the 23rd-highest peak in the world.
Kamet is the second highest mountain in the Garhwal region of Uttarakhand, after Nanda Devi. It
lies in the Chamoli District of Uttarakhand. Its appearance resembles a giant pyramid topped by a
flat summit area with two peaks.
INDIAS MOST FAMOUS BRIDGES

The BandraWorli Sea Link, officially called Rajiv Gandhi Sea Link, is a cable-stayed bridge with
pre-stressed concrete-steel viaducts on either side that links Bandra in the Western Suburbs of
Mumbai with Worli in South Mumbai.

Howrah Bridge is a bridge with a suspended span over the Hooghly River in West Bengal, India.
Commissioned in 1943, the bridge was originally named the New Howrah Bridge, because it
replaced a pontoon bridge at the same location linking the two cities of Howrah and Kolkata
(Calcutta).
Pamban Bridge is a railway bridge which connects the town of Rameswaram on Pamban Island to
mainland India.
