Differentiation between Grade Levels:

Differentiation between the grades of 6 to 8 will occur in a variety of ways. One way in which this will happen is by how much direct instruction
time will be done in class. For the lower grades, more time will be spent on learning the specific skill that we are covering while in the higher
level grades we will spend less time on the instruction of the skill and more time on actually performing the skill in a variety of ways. The
difficulty of drills will also depend on the grade level and also the overall skill level of the class.

Assessment:

Summative- Daily Physical/Social Grade- Students will be given 2 marks each day for this unit. One mark will be there physical grade, this relates
to if students participate in all parts of PE, if they work at a challenging level for themselves, successfully apply skills to game situations, etc.
Their second mark will be social grade. This is all about how students communicate with others in the class, demonstrating respectful and
positive attitudes toward others, and following established routines and instructions, etc. Students will be given these marks through teacher
observation and also self-assessment.

Formative- Observing students application of skills and also how they interact with others within the classroom. Asking questions about
gameplay rules, skills learned, or objectives that we focused on for specific classes. Class Discussions about what was our class goal/focus for this
class.
