Franco replied You have a 7th amendment given in the bill of rights that ensures that you get a
trial by jury as a option. Of course there are other options however if you are charged with
taking $200 or less it goes to small claims court where you don't get a jury simply because a jury
is not worth that little $$. Wow that is good to know for future use if I choose to be a loyar.

Well the sixth amendment ensures a speedy trial so depending on the charge and how long it
takes to get evidence of a crime with witnesses.

Why yes the eighth amendment ensures a punishment fits the crime and that no cruel or
unusual punishment is given. For example you can not be burned at the stake for
crossing the street incorrectly otherwise called jaywalking.
