Buffoli group consists of two factories located in Brescia province (Italy) with
a total covered surface over 5.000 smq.
During 2001 the new factory in Monterrey (Mexico) has been opened, where all the racks and plating equipment
for local and North American markets are manufactured.
The branch office in Paris and the sales units in Istanbul and Sao Paulo are finalized to improve selling and service
of plating equipment for French, Turkish and Brazilian markets.
With a staff of 15 technicians, 45 skilled workers and a total turnover more than 10.000.000,00(*) , the group is
considered among the most important international manufacturers.

In line plants usually guarantee a very high production level

and a great flexibility, suitable for any kind of special request
(different type of finishing on the same plant) and for
decorative galvanic treatments.This plants are also eligible
for barrel process.

Arm-type plants, generally based on racks, guarantee the

maximum productivity and a space saving design.
Arm-type plants are generally used for sanitary manufacture,
where chemical sequence doesnt change and racks can be
configured for production at high volumes. Fully automated PC
managed installations allow to control different production cycles at the same time.

The exclusive design of Transfer type plants allows to carry

out plant assembly solutions not available with other types of plants.
Key benefits for Transfer system are: simple to use, space
saving design, cost saving, safety, long lasting product and

Inside the mild steel tanks are lined with

semi rigid PVC sheets glued and welded.
For hard-chrome treatment the tanks are
lined with special PVC-W.
Upon request the internal coating can be
replaced with natural rubber linings.
If required the process tanks

are equipped with removable
anodic bars using the
transporter.
In this case one anodes
maintenance position is
foreseen at the end of the line.

Since the electroplating equipment are mostly used in atmospheres with presence of acid agents the use of
special coatings, able to resisting to the corrosion and to assure a long life time, has always been for our
company reason of careful researches and analysis.
The results has realized using a special polyurethane spray plastic named Protegol

The dryer is made of 304 s/s internal tank with forced

hot ventilation device.
By means of centrifugal fans and heating batteries a

that reduce the noise due to air stream inside

The control of the temperature inside the tanks is assured by digital

thermostats, while the rectifiers control is obtained by remote controls
(volt-meters and ampere-meters) placed inside the control board.
On the thermostats is possible to set the upper and lower limits

and the alarm limits.
On the remote controls is possible to set the desired values of
current and tension.
All the instruments can be interfaced with the

Supervising PC that ensures the acquisition of all the
parameters necessary to carry out the Statistical
Process Control.

The hoods have a movable cover for inspection

The treatment tanks that generate vapors are equipped

In case of fumes particularly aggressive is possible to supply

special vented transporters
Therefore the fumes, generated during the lifting of the pieces
from the process tanks, are captured by the transporters suction
cap and piped outside through a suction bellows duct placed
along the rails.
The fumes are then released into the atmosphere in compliance
with the Standard in force.

When necessary suitable systems for fumes scrubbing

are provided before their release into the atmosphere.

For instance the frames of eyewear are

washed with special chemicals that
might attack the Plastisol coating; in
these cases the racks are coated with
Rilsan (Nylon base plastic polymer).
Sometimes in order to seal the

galvanic coating the components are
cured in oven at temperature between
200 and 350 C. in these cases the
racks are coated with high temperature
resistance material as Teflon or similar.

closing of the barrel without any help from the

The barrel has got standard size and is
positioned on the metal loading and unloading
structure.
The cycle starts with the rotation of the barrel,

phase the barrel is picked up from the
transporter and placed inside the working cycle.
