Describe the main purpose of the event:
More than 20 camps are held on this campground throughout the year. This
event is held in order to honor and promote the various organizations that hold
camps throughout the year at Mobile Campground.

Describe the activities that will be conducted at the event:


There will be food provided and music for entertainment. The various
organizations that host camps will set up activities for attendees. There will be
games and crafts for children of all ages, not just those that attend the camps.

Who is the target audience:


The target audience is families with children that have attended a camp or
camps in the past or would be interested in attending, or qualify for attending,
one of the camps. These families live in or near Mobile or on the Gulf Coast.

guests, visitors, etc.)
Approvals and Permits Required: (ex: Campground should have permits
event approvals, liquor licenses,
signage permits, etc.)
Access: (including emergency vehicles) Golf carts, first aid station
Amenities: (ex: toilets, canteen, seating, Campground has public restrooms,
shade, etc.) picnic tables and benches. DMW will
provide shade teepee in various
locations around the grounds. There
will be sunscreen and bug spray
stations set up.
Event Volunteer Management

Each food vendor will supply the number of workers they need. DMW Events will
have a few volunteers on hand to make any runs or help in any way asked by a
vendor.

Each camp in attendance will supply at least five volunteers per two hour shift
(10 total volunteers per organization) that are trained in whatever their activity is.

Volunteers will come from local high schools or colleges where service hours are
required. These schools or organizations within the school (sororities or
fraternities) will be contacted by the DMW Events team and trained the weekend
before the event.

There will be paramedics on hand at the Frist Aid station.

Event Registration
Guests will register, RSVP, online and provide the number of people attending
with their party before the event and their names will be on a master list. There
will be a check in table at the event with 8 volunteers plus one event planner.

We do not have sponsors for this event.

Event Communication and Marketing

This event will be invitation only. The guest list names will come from the mailing
lists of the organizations who put on the camps. There will be promotion on
Facebook and Twitter leading up to the event.
