Team Members: Team Expresso Fix

Samantha Lai - Project Manager ENG360
Elizabeth Nguyen - Editing Manager
Alexis Gamez - Photography and Design Manager
Jan Chen - Research Manager

Mission Statement:
The purpose of Team Espresso Fix is not only to fix the Ninja Cold Brew Coffee Machine, but to also give others the
opportunity to learn how to fix one for themselves. We will make a simple and easy to follow instruction manual for
the iFixit Companys worldwide audience.

Overall Performance Expectations for the Project and Team:

Expected upon all our team for the iFixit Project is: full communication, interaction, and hands-on effort. Everyone is
expected to do their part and give help as needed. Although we are all managers of this project, it does not limit us to
give assistance to our fellow teammates in all aspects of work.

Resolving Conflict:
A variety of individuals worldwide from different levels of organizations have organized an online site as a resource
for resolving conflict and avoiding tension called Mind Tools. They help over 27 million people yearly, and have
become one of the worlds most popular career and management solutions. In their article, Conflict Resolution,
Mind Tools recommends using the Interest-Based Relational approach with steps such as treating others with respect,
separate people from problem, understand opposing point of views, listen before talking, and lastly explore all options.
Incorporating such tips into our own group resolution plan can help with any potential future conflicts resolutions.

Communication and Team Meetings:

Meetings are twice every week in the classroom and outside of class as needed. They are set to be in person and/or
through text through the Group Me App. Locations will be set the week of, by default in the library on campus, at the
best available time for everyone. Each teammate is given a full 24hour time frame to respond group conversations
without warning or strike. Absences will be recorded. They will receive a warning or strike when absent without notice
in scheduled meetings outside of class, group conversations, and/or class.

Further Action Plan Policy:

If a group member does not follow the guideline above, then the following will take place:
1. Declare a first warning (reviewed by Professor).
2. Declare a second warning. Discuss about how to deal with the situation with team and Professor.
3. Bring Professor a firing request.

Research Requirement:
When working together as a team, everyone has to collaboratively and effectively portray their roles by
establishing priorities to show good organization. Team members should contribute ideas and/or opinions to
the project manager, who compiles them anonymously and distributes them with the next meeting agenda,
(Wolfe 55). It means the project manager has to record and share everyones ideas with the team.
When the collaboration is stressful, the conflict would happen. Team members would be frustrated and
angry with each other because of one's personality or transactions about the project, (Markel 40). It means
that everyone has to work together to succeed.
