The City of Redwood City is Awarded a


National Endowment of the Arts Grant
e City of Redwood City announced the award of a
$25,000 National Endowment of the Arts (NEA) grant to
support a new public art installation called the Pirate Ship
which will be located on the San Francisco Bay Trail and next
to the Redwood Shores Library branch. e grant award will
support community engagement activities and design
planning for the public art installation.
You may recall that an article about the Pirate Ship was
included in the may 2017 Pilot, available at rsca.org. e
Parks & Recreation Department will start setting up
community meetings and the overall project plans in late
Spring 2018 with a projected installation in 2019. e project
will need additional funding sources before completion.

Coast in those ads.
Skyline-wise, greater Boston is kind of like San Francisco in
some respects, but, in various ways, its also dierent.

Sugar Cookies For Santa


Its dicult to imagine how it can possibly be December
already after all, many of our trees still have their autumn-

excitement for the Christmas and New Years holidays.
Im sure that many of you follow the tradition with your
children of setting out cookies and a glass of milk in
