Graduate Student Instructor / University of Michigan
I have been working as a graduate student instructor for the Biology Department this semester, teaching
discussion sections for Biology of Nutrition. I have also been appointed to teach discussion sections for
Introductory Biology- Molecular, Cellular, and Developmental next semester. My responsibilities include
teaching discussion material, leading office hours, grading papers, and acting as a resource for students
to succeed with learning course objectives.

Research Assistant / University of Michigan
I am currently working on a project through Dr. Kendrin Sonneville and the Momentum Center. The
project is focusing on reducing weight stigma in the conversation between teens and physicians regarding
their weight and health. My responsibilities include recruitment of participants, data collection and entry,
construction of RedCAP data collection system, transcription of interviews, and facilitation of participant
appointments.

Summer Intern / Chelsea Senior Center
This summer, I had the opportunity to work with a wide range of ages providing nutrition and culinary
education. In addition, I took the lead in the planning, cultivating, and harvesting of a community garden
for the members of the Chelsea Senior Center. I also spent the summer developing activities for two
farmers markets that promoted physical activity, healthy eating, and creativity in kids that attended the
markets every week.
