If you love chatting and a regular Skype chat user then you might already know this. Skype
not only has hidden chat emoticons but Skype offers various chat commands to control
members in the group chat, secure the chat with a password and do various other
administrative tasks. You can use these chat commands in individual chat (with one person)
or group chat. If you are a group administrator then these commands can prove to really very
useful. You will be surprised to know that there are a hell lot of these commands (some are
hidden commands and you wont find anywhere else on the internet).
Below is a list of compiled Skype commands. I have searched on the internet to get a full list
of commands and found some interesting ones as well. Please note that most of these
commands are for administrating a group chat (and will work only if you are group creator),
however many applies to individual chat as well.
Tip: To see a list of the available commands simply type /help into the chat. If you are just in
a chat with one other person, only the relevant chat options will be shown. If you are in a chat
with two or more people, /help will reveal a more comprehensive list of chat commands. If
you dont see the list, the version Skype you are using is not supported. So download and use
the latest version of Skype.
Tip2: The above /help command though lists down chat commands but it is not a complete
list. It does not list the hidden skype chat commands. Below list is more comprehensive list.
As in the below table, you dont need to use square brackets around your text after the
command. For example, the command /add [skype name] would be used as /add

I have tried to cover all of these, however it may not be complete. If you are aware of any
more of such Skype chat commands which we have not covered in this list, then please let me
know in the comments. I will be very happy to keep this list updated!
