i) Is the crane configured in accordance with the lift plan?
ii) Is the actual weight of the load including and rigging accessories known?
iii) Has the crane radius been measured physically with the help of a measuring tap?
iv) Is the centre of gravity marked on the load?
v) Is the centre of gravity of the load below the rigging tools-tackles & hook?
vi) Is the content of the load secured and the load protected?
vii) Are adequate length tag lines attached?
viii) Tailing crane trial on all swings without load has been completed?

2- EQUIPMENT
i) Are rigging tools-tackles recently inspected and correctly color coded?

ii) Are the rigging tools-tackles certificates been checked?

iii) Are the rigging tools-tackles checked in accordance with the lift plan?

iv) SWL of the crane and its mode of operation suitable to complete the lift?

v) Are the operators and riggers competency certificates checked?

vi) Is crane daily check-list compeleted?

vii) Is crane's third party certificate checked?

vii) Is the copy of approved lifting plan available at site with the crane operator and site engineer?

3- ENVIRONMENT
i) Is the ground well compacted and levelled in accordance to the permissible crane working range?

ii) Wind conditions acceptable? No more than 9m/s.

iii) Is there adequate light & visibilty to compelete the lift?

4- COMMUNICATIONS
i) Has the lifting supervisor and appropriate lift team been nominated?
ii) Has a pre-lift meeting between the crane operator, signal person, supervisor, and other affected person
been conducted and been understood?
iii) Have the primary and secondary means of communication been established & tested?
iv) Radios are available during lifting operation commenced at night time?
5- LIFTING OPERATION
i) Is the load free from any fastening and any other vertical restraints?
ii) Is the area for lifting the load & route is clear of the obstruction and barricaded?
iii) Is the area for landing the load clear, strong enough, properly prepared & is there any risk of the
load becoming unstable after landing?
iv) Is there any lifting equipment clash or potential load clash?

v) Is there access and egress to attach and recover lift rigging?

vi) Are underground services are identified?
