REFLECTION
The students seemed to be interested in the two video clips. We had little discussions about the math
and science behind music, and then from about 9 until 10, I let the students just play around with the
instruments. At first, they were hesitant to try them, but after a few minutes and with some
encouragement, they started to try them. They had a lot of fun! One student, however, did not want
to try anything. She was nervous about it. I dont know why exactly, but she did say that she doesnt
know how to play them. Maybe she was afraid to make a mistake. I tried to encourage her and help
her feel more comfortable, but she only wanted to play her own clarinet.
