Resource Directory: City-Wide Health Services

This resource directory contains informational listings of health clinics and centers
in the five boroughs of New York City. Types of services offered and scales of fee
are listed for each clinic, along with contact numbers and website listings.
Please note that this information is current as of fall, 2006. Several of the
resources refer to HHC Options, this is the city program that enables fees based
on income. You can enroll in HHC Options at any facility that accepts it as noted
below.

The Actors Fund especially responds to the health care needs of performing
artists. Please become familiar with the Al Hirschfeld Free Health Clinic at The
Aurora, which provides free health care to uninsured and underinsured
documented entertainment industry professionals. You can find more information

If you live in Brooklyn or near Brooklyn’s Woodhull Hospital, we recommend that

you use the Artist Access program there, as they are now quite experienced
with the health and financial needs of artists.

All of these options however, are available to artists of all income levels. Please
note that Dance/NYC offers this guide as a resource to the community.
