Analyzing my pronunciation.

This is the FIRST audio. ( I labeled them incorrectly)

All around the word there are people who desire to speak and write English properly. People who
decided to teach English have to pay more emphasis in developing English skills as much closer as
correctly. In this activity first, I felt it sounded as a tongue twister. While I was reading it I realized
that I did not know some words pronunciation. At the beginning, I did the activity without looking
or paying attention to the unknown words. I just read. After listening the first audio I noticed that
there were 6 words which pronunciation I was confused about, especially in vowels sound like
tough /a/, dough (diphthongs), lose and ward. I also noticed that the sentence stress wasnt the
correct one in the first audio so I checked the audio again and I corrected the sentence stress and
intonation like in the first line I take it you/(pause) already know I respected the punctuation
and the stress patterns of phrases like just look them up and the reductions or contractions.

In the second audio I tried to fix the pronunciation problems I had done. I did it and my fluency
was much better. What I did in order to improve both, pronunciation and fluency? I practice the
text by the repetition allowing me to enhance the production and reception on repairing the
mistakes. It is natural to feel self conscious and negative about pronunciation but in order to
effectively deal with something new, it is very recommendable that look for words meaning and
pronunciation before teaching it in order to do not have any mistake and teach Ss the proper and
accurate pronunciation. Good pronunciation is an integral part of any language teaching program
because it is an active element of the learning process and helps the learners to produce the
language confidently.
