Statement of the Problem

The study intends to determine the effectiveness of Cigarette filter derived

Cellulose Acetate and TiO2 composite in the adsorption of lead ions in aqueous

solution. Furthermore, the study aims to answer the following questions:

1. Which has the highest adsorption efficiency among pure cellulose acetate, pure

TiO2, and derived CA with TiO2 composite in the adsorption of lead?

2. Is there a significant difference among the proportions of CA and TiO2 in the

adsorption of lead?

Hypothesis: There is a significant difference for the proportions of CA derived

from cigarette filters and TiO2 in the adsorption of lead.
