MY REFLECTION PAPER

At first, I really had a difficulty in writing my Personal Lifelong Learning Plan. I, honestly, dont know where to start and how to begin in writing it. I asked
my colleagues if they have an idea about Personal Lifelong Learning Plan and they answered me sorry because they have no idea about it. It took me almost three
weeks upon looking our Course Calendar to organize my thoughts. It was discussed during the Orientation seminar held in Cagayan de Oro City but sad to say I
could not understand what our facilitator talked about because I was far from the media presentation. It was out of my mind. After our first chat last November 19,
2017 I tried to write down some steps to make it but there are still some doubts.

The first thing I did, I read the book GURO21 and I reviewed the seven 21st Century Literacies and I studied it by heart. When I began determining my level
of competency, I really have to evaluate myself and ponder whether I am already good or weak at that particular literacy. These are the seven 21st century literacies.
Arts and Creativity Literacy will allow us to break out from traditional patterns of thinking and adopt fresh approaches to intellectual experiences. Eco Literacy will
make us understand the principles of organizing a healthy and productive atmosphere to create a worthwhile learning environment for students. Cyber Literacy will
allow both teachers and students to explore the advancement of technology but still bounded with the different laws in using it. Financial Literacy will equip us in
the proper use of resources available or at hand. Media Literacy can be of help in building communication skills which encourages consideration of multiple
interpretations of the different forms of communication such as television, radio, newspapers and other media. Social/Emotional Literacy maintain good intention
in promoting values to students and support both the student and the teachers emotional stability by demonstrating positive outlook to encourage students to
perform well in class. Globalization & Multicultural Literacy will be of great help in the promotion of cross-cultural understanding.
The first among the literacies is the Arts and Creativity, which I feel I am really weak. This focuses on the creative ways of problem solving and on
being artistic when it comes to artworks. In my case, never was there a time that I was recognized of my artwork. Honestly speaking, I am not good in Arts and
Creativity. As I filled out the PLLP and thought of an activity through which I can enhance this literacy, what automatically came to my mind was watching
demonstration/tutorial videos in the internet every summer break, or twice a month, attend seminars/work-shops on enhancing arts and creativity skills in problem
solving. However, looking at it introspectively, finding reliable source of videos can be a challenge. On the other side, it can never be a reason to stop me from
learning as it has been and will always be a part of fruitful learning. As I look at my classroom now, I can say that I improved a little and I already shared to my
colleagues some of my outputs.

The literacies which I believe I am developing are Cyberliteracy, Media literacy and Social/Emotional literacy. During my free time, I never stop surfing
the internet and find opportunities for free workshops/trainings to enhance this kind of literacies. Ecoliteracy, Financial literacy and Globalization
Multiculturalism Literacy are needed to be developing. I plan to engage surfing the internet to read articles regarding each of them and attending free webinars
online. Aside from surfing the internet, I would pursue having time talking to our Barangay officials about environment protection and preservation programs. In
considering the support and resources needed, I need to reflect almost all possible answers but I narrowed them down into one or two only because I believe I can
provide the other needed resources except for budget allocation for the said trainings. In identifying the barriers and challenges was quite tiresome to do. There are
many possible barriers and challenges but I only consider the most difficult and challenging to address in implementing my plan. In finding solution it is easy to do
if I will exert more effort to accomplish them. I know that in implementing such plan is not easy.

As I am writing now my reflection paper, I keep on asking myself if I can confidently do the plan. Some considerations were done also because I need to
contemplate on my other responsibilities as a Grade One Adviser and a School Scout Coordinator in our school. I have positive hopes to myself that I can really do
this within the time frame. I also asked myself, Why do I need to do this plan? And there is only one answer in my mind. I am doing this because I wanted to
become an efficient and effective teaching-learning teacher, facilitator and mentor to my students in the 21st century classroom and make my pupils the 21st century
learners..

Lastly, it will never be easy to succeed in these target endeavors but through appropriate evaluation and application of actions, and with the support of the
school administration and teachers of Gango Elementary School, Ozamiz City, these target goals will soon be given light.
