Sub: ESI Coverage amendment from Rs.10, 000 to 15, 000 w.e.f 1.5.2010.

As per ESI Notification Dated 20.04.2010, The Ministry of Labour Employment Vide no
G.S.R 164 (E) Dated 26 th Feb 2010., further amended in ESI rule no 50, for words ten
thousand (10,000) wherever they occur, the words fifteen thousand (15,000) shall be
submitted. It is a statutory obligation to cover such of the employees, whose monthly gross
salary is Rs. 15,000/- and below under ESI, with effect from 1 st May 2010. Accordingly it is
mandatory to deduct ESI Contribution @ 1.75% on Gross Salary of such employee, who
is covered under ESI with effect from 01.05.2010,

All the employees whose gross salary is Rs.15, 000/- and below per month w.e.f
01.05.2010 are requested to submit their Family members Photographs (01 Copy in
Post Card size) along with Declaration Form - 1 which are available in the respective
HR /Admn Department on or before 15 th May, 2010 to enable us to arrange for issue of ID
Cards to avail Medical Treatment/ Benefits from ESI Corporation.
