Topic & subject: (occupational therapy) (Climate change)
My selected topic was climate change. Climate change is our daily global atmospheric
patterns, affected by human activity. It is concentrated on atmospheric changes such as water
vapor, carbon dioxide, methane, nitrous oxide and chlorofluorocarbons. Through decades the
development of society and machinery has caused a rise in these gases in the atmosphere. The
more of these gases in the atmosphere the greater opportunity for the earths temperature to rise.
The rise of the earths temperature will cause an increase in precipitation which will then lead to
weather changes as more water vapor will began to emerge. The more we continue the use of
these gases, the greater the odds of seeing more climate changes.
My intended major is Occupational therapy. Occupational therapy consists of making
therapeutic planners for patients and their families in order to have a better rehabilitated
recovery. This therapy personal can be classified as doctors, as they do seem to be like one in
rehabilitating physical abilities. Occupational therapist do follow medical laws and medical
certifications before there practice can be administered.
My research questions consist of three. The primary being why is climate change
negative?. The second question is trends of climate change?. Third being is there any link
between health fatality rates and climate change?. My bibliographies are based upon these
questions which have allowed me to explore books on health and the weather.
Based on my sources there can be a hypothesis on how heath and climate fatality rates
can relate can be made based on deaths being part of nature. If any change occurs with the
weather, a secondary effect will happen towards a person. This can then lead to health problems
or physical disabilities in a person. Nutrition, accessibility to rehabilitation, medical condition
are examples of what can change in a person. The severity of the climate would be a primary
factor towards determining whether a person is affected or not. Actions would then be taken
based on the severity of the climate to person. If any health problems are presented an
occupational therapist would then be needed. This all creates a chain effect depending on the
situation.
