Automated Street Lighting

Introduction

1. Purpose The purpose of automated street lighting is to reduce the amount of

consumption of power for street lights and automate them.

1. Materials used

c. Relay module
d. 9v transistor battery
e. Card boards
f. LDR sensor
2. Construction and working :- Our model consists of the microcontrollers equipped with
sensors which in turn connected to LEDs. So when the amount of sunlight is more
automatically LDR sensor detects it and feeds it to the microcontroller and which in turn
instructs the LEDs to switch on/off. When the sunlight is more the device gets to identify
that it is day light and switches off the LED. If sunlight is less device gets to notified to switch
ON the LED. This model is constructed with a sample street light attached with above
components and powered with 9v transistor battery.
3. Application :- This model can be applied to present street lighting in major cities and towns.
