The Welcome dashboard is the main dashboard and is typically a

collection of dashboards.
In addition, two other types of dashboards are available:
Transaction dashboards contain content that is core to one or
more business processes.
Business intelligence (BI) dashboards contain content that is
complementary to one or more business processes.
