Abstract
The excess emissions of carbon dioxide are causing global level environmental
problems. As carbon dioxide is a greenhouse gas, and is also a major pollutant, some
steps are to be taken to reduce its concentration in the atmosphere. The high
concentrations of carbon dioxide are causing water sources to uptake it, causing their
acidification, which also has negative impacts on human life also. Moreover, carbon

dioxide in air can be used as a rich and cheap carbon source. This research shall Commented [AD1]: .

Problem Statement
Even though carbon dioxide is a necessary component of the air, it is a
greenhouse gas and causes global warming. The excess of the carbon dioxide
in the air is thereby, a pollutant. High increase in the concentration of carbon
dioxide in the atmosphere is causing its uptake by water bodies, causing their
acidification. So, cleaning it up has become is an important issue taken
globally.

Importance of the problem

Carbon dioxide in high concentrations, causes acidification of water
sources. The major sources of carbon dioxide are in industrial areas, thus
causing problems in densely populated areas. Carbon dioxide can be broken
down to carbon and oxygen, providing a good source of carbon. Carbon
dioxide is a gas which is essential for the environment, but excess of the gas
can be very problematic, as rightly said: -

Everything is a poison, it just depends on the dosage.

Major Health Hazards of Carbon Dioxide:

Carbon dioxide in its gaseous form is an asphyxiant which cuts off the
oxygen supply for breathing, especially in confined spaces.

Exposure to concentrations of 10 percent or more of carbon dioxide

can cause death, unconsciousness, or convulsions.

Thus, it is necessary to control excess carbon dioxide emissions.

Conclusion

The research will address controlling excessive carbon dioxide

emissions, and help building up a good resource of carbon.

Shall the research succeed,

It will provide cheaper sources of carbon.

Historic and famous points of tourism interest damaged by CO2

emissions can be protected, giving an increase in tourism industry.

Acidification of water sources by high concentrations of CO2 in the

atmosphere can be controlled.
