EXCALIBUR ARMY
EXCALIBUR ARMY Ltd. is internationally respected company of defence
industry, whose products have proved successful in national as well as in foreign
defence and security sector.
The company was established in 1995. Its activities consist of production of
military vehicles and spare parts, overhauls of military machinery and trade in
heavy military tracked and wheeled vehicles. On top of that, the company also
trades in spare parts, weapons and weapon systems, ammunition and spare
parts for trucks and other vehicles. Among other activities belong selling military
outfits and hazardous waste disposal.
The company upgraded howitzers DANA-M1 CZ and participates in modernisation
of BMP vehicles. Upgrade of DANA-M1 CZ applies mainly to chassis and fire
control system. Separate part of the upgrade is ammunition marked DN-1CZ.
Upgraded DANA-M1 CZ prolonged range of fire with this ammunition from
18km to over 25,5km. These capabilities were successfully presented for example
in Slovakia, where demonstrative live firing, using this new artillery ammunition,
was performed for Czech and Slovak Armed Forces command. In recent years,

the company has also dealt with modernisation of BMP vehicles, which have
undertaken significant innovative and technical changes. Above all, the protection
of persons was increased as well as fire power. The interior was also improved.
For example, the floor was strengthened and other new elements were installed.
EXCALIBUR ARMY Ltd. is capable to realize modernisation projects according
to customers requirements.
The Company continues long and traditional cooperation with Slovak partners in
the area of military machinery production as well as in trade development.
At the beginning of 2013 EXCALIBUR ARMY Ltd. became owner of military
business premises in ternberk. There are made repairs of military vehicles,
engines and other spare parts including production and upgrade of military
and special vehicles. In the area of engineering production, there are made and
machined welds including assembling of higher units and final products. The
company has been folloving and continues traditional production and machinery
repairs in this region.

VT-55A Recovery Tank BMP-1 Infantry Fighting Vehicle

The VT-55 recovery tank is an armoured tracked vehicle designed to recover and tow
immobile tanks and other vehicles in different terrain conditions. The VT-55 is designed
on a T-55 chassischassis. The winch towing power is 735 kN (75Mp). It is utilized to lift
loads of up to 1600/2000 kg (depends on the crane type).
The BMP-1 armoured personnel carrier is amphibious waterproof tracked vehicle
featuring good armour protection and manoeuvring abilities. The BMP-1 is equipped
with a heavy 73 mm gun and a coupled 7.62 mm machine gun. The BMP-1 is designed

The armament includes the automatic gun 30 mm CZ30 or 2A42 with PKT machine gun

possible to integrate the ATGM or AAGM, depending on customer s demands. In order to
aim the weapons, there is the modernized periscopic sight BPK- 2-42 with a swing of the

The power system is a single-wire 24V DC with a ground negative pole. The turret
includes the control box and fuse box and terminal switches for limiting elevation and
depression of the armament. The turret is furnished with an Intercom box and a helmet
connector.
Armoured 14.5 mm machine gun KPVT. The 14.5 mm machine gun is designed to engage
Infantry Carrier lightly armoured ground targets (armoured personnel carriers) with the centre of fire up
to 1 500 m and group targets up to 2 000 m. The machine gun uses back blow power
with the short recoil of the barrel.

MGC-14.5 7.62 mm machine gun PKT. The PKT 7.62 mm machine gun is designed to engage
ground group live targets and non-armoured targets up to 1 000 m. The machine gun
uses the pressure of the fire aftergases on a piston to reload.
Application of the turret. The MGC-14.5 turret is meant to replace the original BMP-
1 turret when converting the infantry fighting vehicle to the armoured personnel carrier.
It is virtually a modified BMP-1 turret which may be fitted to the vehicle in lieu of the Basic technical data:

DANA-M1 CZ
EXCALIBUR ARMY spol. sr.o. has developed an upgraded type of the DANA 152 mm
Self Propelled Gun Howitzer vz. 77.
The implemented upgrade items keep the well established combat & service features of
the DANA system unchanged and at the same time transform the weapon into an up-to-
date and more powerful system.
The DANA-M1 CZ boasts an unbeatable rate of fire, greater firing accuracy, excellent
vehicle mobility and reliable operation of the system. All these qualities predestine the
DANA-M1 CZ Self Propelled Gun Howitzer to play a significant role in the modern era
of artillery support.
New fire control system
The solution includes a new, high-performance fire control system (FCS) that boosts the
combat efficiency of the system and at the same time simplifies its operation. The newly
developed solution of the FCS is based upon the use of state-of-the-art technologies
allowing the DANA-M1 CZ to be integrated into the C4I system.

is the heart of the fire control system and conducts the following:

The chassis upgrade
The upgrade of the chassis has resulted in substantially improved driving properties and
manoeuvrability of the vehicle.
The steering system has been modified and the TATRA-NORGEN shift-by-wire system has
been newly added. The T3-930 engine has also undergone a major upgrade; new turbo-
chargers and an intercooler have been fitted which results in enhanced torque behaviour
and power curve.
Several modifications have been made to the cabin. The drivers field of view has been
improved, the steering system and the drivers instrument panel have been modified. New
seats and an independent air conditioning unit have been installed.

A self-propelled gun-howitzer of 152 mm calibre, the vz. 77 DANA is a wheeled combat
vehicle equipped with gun of 152 mm calibre. The DANA is equipped with a weapon
system made up of a 12.7 mm machine gun, an ATG R/PG-75 rocket launcher, de-
contamination means and essential tools for the crew.
The self-propelled 152 mm gun-howitzer vz. 77 DANA as well as the complete model,
we now also offer a chassis variation without armament or turret compartments.
The 2S1 Gvozdika is a Soviet 122-mm self-propelled howitzer. It is essentially a version
of the MT-LB APC. 2S1 is its GRAU designation. The alternative Russian designation
is SAU-122 but in the Russian Army it is commonly known as Gvozdika (Carnation).
The 2S1 can be made fully amphibious with very little preparation, and once afloat is
propelled by its tracks. It is NBC protected. The main armament is a 2A31 cannon. The
2S1 is equipped with a mechanical loading system which enables the howitzer to shoot
up to 5 rounds per minute.

The RM-70 multiple rocket launcher is a Czechoslovak army version and the heavier
variant of the BM-21 Grad multiple rocket launcher, providing enhanced performance
over its parent artillery system that was introduced in 1972.

The main production program is the ensuring of the life cycle of ground military and
special technology, ie. production, modernization and reconstruction, ensuring of
all levels of repairs until the eco-friendly disposal of the redundant technology. The
defectation, warranty and post warranty service, preservation and storage of the
technology are part of services. On customers request we can ensure the staff training
for operating, maintenance and repairs.

Production and Modernization of Military Technology

We ensure the production and modernization of military technology and materials on
customers request.

Engineering Production
The production focuses on parts of building, agriculture and other machines. On
customers request we are able to realize a single-part production according to supplied
documentation.
The technological equipment enables the preparation and dividing of materials, cutting
and bending of metal sheets, welding of parts and construction subgroups and groups,
machining on CNC machines, preparation and painting, pre-assembly, assembly,
testing and packaging of products.

years old tradition of repairs of special technology in ternberk. The professional staff
and specialists with longtime experiences provide the service of military and special
technology not only in own country but also abroad.

EXCALIBUR ARMY features extensive facilities enabling repairs and refurbishment of military vehicles and machinery. We are able to
ensure highly demanding repairs and maintenance of military vehicles and machinery to suit the specific needs of our customers or to
supply the required spare parts. Repairs and maintenance are carried out using our own stock of spare parts held in storage facilities
located in Pelou, ep and ternberk. The company cooperates with a number of specialised firms and its staff consists of a stable team et de ternberk. La socit collabore avec un certain nombre de compagnies spcialises, dont les employs forment une quipe stable
of highly qualified professionals.
Service and maintenance
EXCALIBUR ARMY performs repairs and refurbishment of a wide range of military
vehicles and machinery. Its Pelou premises are equipped with a state-of-the-art
workshop and a new paint shop. Our repair shop cooperates and its processes are
fully aligned with our spare parts storage facilities. Our company can carry out all
kinds of services activities, from minor repairs to full refurbishment and general
overhauls of military vehicles and machinery. These can be tested at a training
polygon, which is located on the company premises.
Modernization
EXCALIBUR ARMY is involved in the refurbishment of a number of combat vehicles and machinery, e.g. the 77 DANA (DANA-M1 CZ), T-55,
T-72 howitzer. The company cooperates on the refurbishment with other industry leaders. Refurbishment of DANA-M1 CZ vehicles involves
a number of refurbishment elements described in a special offer sheet in the 2012/2013 military vehicle and machinery catalogue.
Another example of our refurbishment activities is refurbishment of BMP-1 and BMP-2 infantry fighting vehicles. Refurbishment of
military vehicles and machinery represents an essential part of our future company activities.
Logistics
A sophisticated system of storing spare parts for combat vehicles and machinery enables us to fulfil even the most demanding requests of
our customers. The combination of an administration department, where inquiries are processed, and the realisation department, where
completed orders are prepared for dispatch, enables us to satisfy even the most challenging orders within extremely short delivery terms.
The company cooperates with top-ranking partners, e.g. in the area of manufacturing new spare parts and other components for combat
vehicles and machinery.
The transport of military vehicles, machinery and material is carried out by NIKA Chrudim s.r.o., EXCALIBUR ARMY s subsidiary, which owns
a fleet of more than 150 heavy goods vehicles. Some of them are ADR-certified and dedicated to the transport of large items. The Pelou
premises are interconnected with a railroad, which allows us transport large orders using the railway system.

coopre avec des socits leaders du domaine sur ce projet. La modernisation du
vhicule DANA-M1 CZ comprend de nombreux lments de modernisation, dcrits
dans la liste doffres spciales incluse dans le catalogue de la technologie militaire
2012/2013. Par ailleurs, entre autres, la socit participe la modernisation des
quipements BMP-1 et BMP-2. La modernisation des quipements militaires est un
aspect trs important pour lavenir de la socit.
Logistique
Un systme de stockage trs labor des pices dtaches dquipements militaires
lourds nous permet de satisfaire des demandes des clients les plus exigeants. La
coordination du service administratif, o sont traites les demandes, avec le d-
partement technique, o sont prpares pour lexpdition les commandes finies,
permet dhonorer mme des commandes les plus exigeantes dans un dlai trs
court. La socit collabore avec des partenaires du plus haut niveau, par exemple,
sur la production de nouvelles pices dtaches et des composants des quipements
militaires divers.
En ce qui concerne le transport du matriel militaire, la socit EXCALIBUR ARMY coopre avec sa filiale NIKA Chrudim s.r.o., qui est
propritaire de plus de 150 camions. Certains dentre eux sont de classe ADR, conus pour transporter des charges volumineuses. Le site
