Y COORDENADAS PROYECTADAS
Objetivos: - Entender el concepto de sistemas de
coordenadas y la proyeccin en un
mapa.
Un sistema de coordenadas es un
sistema de referencia que se utiliza
para representar la ubicacin de,
imgenes y observaciones entidades
geogrficas (como las localizaciones
GPS) dentro de un marco geogrfico
comn.
UN SISTEMA DE COORDENADAS QUEDA DEFINIDO POR:

METODO DE PROYECCION
Es una proyeccin cilndrica. Los
meridianos son paralelos uno con
otro y estn igualmente
espaciados.
Las lneas de latitud tambin son
paralelas pero se van apartando
hacia los polos. Los polos no pueden
ser mostrados

PROPIEDADES
Forma:
Conforme. Las formas pequeas estn bien
representadas porque esta proyeccin mantiene las
relaciones angulares locales.
rea:
Se distorsionan hacia las regiones polares. Por
ejemplo, en la proyeccin Mercator del mundo,
Groenlandia parece ser ms grande que Sur
Amrica, cuando en realidad es 1/8 de su tamao.
