industry for 21 years, I have seen the increasing need for training within the industry.

This is why we have written our new comprehensive foundation course which
addresses the problem of trainees entering the industry without the necessary practical
skills and knowledge.

We know that with a small amount of capital investment in initial training, the rewards
are far greater than the traditional on the job training.

Lucy Brown
Lucy is currently undertaking the
foundation course having newly
entered the brewery industry.

After only 4 weeks training, Lucy

will have gained the practical
skills necessary to be useful and
cost effective in the workplace.
For example, Lucy will be able
to independently install full cellar
boards using all the relevant
equipment and pipework. Lucy will
be able to fit primary and all types
of secondary cooling systems and Since leaving the RAF Mike
all bar dispense fonts and T Bars. Mayhew has worked in the brewery
industry for 20 years undertaking
management and technical roles
for a wide variety of well known
brewery companies.
Mike honed his trade as a field
technician with Courage Ltd
Technical Services department
before being elected to shop
steward working for William
Younger, John Smiths and Scottish
& Newcastle (S&N).
Since 2003 Mike has worked for
Carlsberg, Heineken and Innserve
as a Technical Services Manager
overseeing maintenance and
installation work.
One of his key responsibilities
has been to train technicians on
existing systems and new dispense
developments as well as being a
Trade Quality Trainer.
Mike has a wealth of technical
knowledge and experience and
in his words Looks forward to
imparting his skills, knowledge
and experience to all new starters
within the business, leading to them
having successful careers.

About the school and its facilities

About the school

Intaspec Training School is a subsidiary of our busy working
service department which employs 16 technicians and 6 dedicated
offices and stores staff.

The school is located in Newark, Nottinghamshire just off the A1

with free parking facilities.

Facilities
We have 4 cellar classrooms that are designed to replicate the
in-trade environment and allow all aspects of brewery installation
equipment to be practised and developed by trainees.

The course runs daily between 9.00am and 3.30pm with half an
hour lunch break.
4 x Cellar
There is a fully equipped kitchen with microwave and fridge Classrooms
facilities for trainees to use.

We also offer budget accommodation packages in conjunction

with local hotels for trainees needing to stay 4 nights a week.
