‘The Honorable Timothy Corrigan
Judge
United States District Court
300 North Hogan Street
Jacksonville, FL 32202
Dear Honorable Judge Timothy Corrigan:
Former Congresswoman Corrine Brown is scheduled to appear for her sentencing hearing
before your court for her ease. | am writing this letter in the hopes that it will help you to see
~ what kind of person Corrine is despite the situation that led us all to this point
Ihave known Congresswoman Brown as @ colleague, friend, and as a spiritual person.
who has shown commitment aver her years in Congress and in that time I have seen many
aspects of het life including her character. I have always found her to be extremely kind, honest,
dependable, and well regarded among her peers in Congress on both sides of the aisle,
As you consider her sentence, I also hope you will also consider Congresswoman
Brown's efforts and contributions to the broader community throughout her life, as well as her
strong commitment to her family, friends and constituents,
Congresswoman Brown was strongly comimitted to service, She did not view her pasition
as a Congressperson solely as an elected position. She dug deep into issues, cherished the United
States Constitution and vigorously advocated far the underserved and the underrepresented. She
is and was a champion for Veterans. There were many times I witnessed her come to the floor
when the chamber was empty and she would rise to speak about the need to guarantee expanded
services for Veterans suffering from the effects of war, and to ensure proper provisions forall
our military men and women at home and abroad. She fought for a world class transportation
system and was successful. She was passionate about people and passionate about their history
and spirit, She tried to correct wrongs and make them right. She was unselfish and kind and
‘made sure her constituents sueceeded by simply really caring for them personally,
