Lets us express our gratitude to Allah for giving us chance to carry out our weekly assembly today.

For your information, I am the teacher on duty for todays assembly. For this whole week, I will be the
teacher on duty together with ...................................

If you have any problems , please come and see both of us. You may also consult other teachers just
in case we are not around.

Dear beloved pupils,

Topic for todays assembly is WAYS TO RESPECT THE TEACHERS (CARA-CARA MENGHORMATI GURU)

Teacher's primary role is EDUCATING PUPILS in school. Teachers educate pupils so that they can be a
successful person in the future, beneficial to the nation and the country. Teachers are your parents in
the school. We are your step-parents. We are exercising your parents' duties in the school. So, you
have to respect the teachers just like you respect your parents.

There are many ways to respect your teachers. I am going to share with you three ways how the
pupils can respect their teachers.

First, give Salam to your teachers. This is the easiest way you can do. Just give salam whenever you
meet your teacher. Be it in the classroom, in the canteen, at the corridor or even outside the school
for example at the market or at the town. Give salam means you pray for your teacher,s safety and
peace. As Assalamualaikum means MAY PEACE BE UPON YOU. Give salam and shake your teacher's
hand. Not only you shake your teachers hands, but kiss their hands too, and make sure yoyr hands
are clean . For Level 2 pupils, if possible only shake your teacher's hand with the same gender. In fact,
give Salam is encouraged in Islam.

Second, you can show your respect to your teachers by DOING THE HOMEWORK and SUBMITTING it
in due time. By doing so, it means you obey your teachers's instryctions and orders. The purpose of
giving homework is to make sure you fully understand what you teacher has taught you in the
classroom. Your teacher can correct your mistakes and you can learn better from the mistakes done.
When you failed to finish your homework or you refused to do it, you are actually showing your
disrespect to your teachers. Homeworkvis not an extra burden to you as longas you manage your
time wisely. For Year 6 pupils especially, never ignore your homework given by your teacher because
it might help you answer the questions better as the saying says Practice Makes Perfect'.

Third, you can show your respect towards your teachers by HELPING your teachers. Help your teacher
to carry their bags or books. Whenever you see your teacher is carrying a lot of stuff, please go to him
or her and offer some help. Offer to carry the bags or books to the Staff Room or to the classroom.
This is a sign of your love and respect to your teachers. Do not wait until your teacher ask for help
first. Try to offer your help before they ask you. However, please make sure the things that you are
going to carry is not a fragile things like glass. Do not rush yourself while carrying the stuff. Be safe
when you carry your teacher's stuff to the car or to the classroom. Mind your steps when you carry
the stuff to the classroom upstairs.Be safe always.

To conclude my speech on today's topic, I would like to highlight again THREE WAYS TO SHOW YOUR
RESPECT TO YOUR TEACHERS.

1. Give salam to your teachers

2. Do your homework given by your teachers
3. Offer help to your teachers

These are the three ways you can start doing it. I believe some of you have been doing all these three
ways all the times. Congratulations to those who are always give salam to their teachers, finish the
homework on time and always offer to help their teachers. There are also other ways for you to show
your respect to your teachers but I do not want to highlight today.

We are about to end our assembly today. Before I call upon the School Prefect to recite the prayer, I
would like remind all pupils three things for you to give more attention throughout your day.

Number one, please be safe. Follow school guidelines and always listen to your teachers' orders.
Number two, please behave yourselves whenever you are in the school area. Respect your teachers
and school staff.

Number three, always give attention in the classroom and study smart.

I hope what I have shared with you today, what our teachers have told you today, and most
importantly what our Headmaster has reminded us today, will give some benefits to you.

Let's work together for the excellent results in all aspects for our school success. I pray to Allah we
will be given strength and desire to work together and cooperate among ourselves in order to achieve
school goals and target.

Before we end, let's say Alhamdulillah, thanks to Allah for giving us chance to carry out a successful
assembly.
