Simplified analysis of lateral load distribution in structures

consisting of frames, single shear wall, coupled shear wall, and
cores

Procedure and Work Example. The structure consists core, two rigid joint
frames, single shear wall and coupled shear walls. It is assumed that the building is 12
stories high, with a story height of 3m. Building Height 36m

The building is subjected to uniformly distributed wind loading normal to one long
face, giving a resultant nominal loading 22.5kN/m height.
