2. Important Safety Instructions

Always be careful when using your PDP TV. To reduce the risk of fire, electrical shock, and other injuries,
keep these safety precautions in mind when installing, using, and maintaining your machine.

1) Read these instructions.

2) Keep these instructions.

3) Heed all warnings.

4) Follow all instructions.

5) Do not use this apparatus near water.

6) Clean only with a dry cloth.

7) Do not block any of the ventilation openings. Install in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions.

8) Do not install near any heat sources such as radiators, heat registers, stoves, or other apparatus
(including amplifiers) that produce heat.

9) Do not defeat the safety purpose of the polarized or grounding type plug. A polarized plug has two
blades with one wider than the other , grounding type plug has two blades or a third grounding prong is
required. The wide blade or the third prong is provided for your safety. When the provided plug does
not fit into your outlet, consult an electrician for replacement of the obsolete outlet.

10) Protect the power cord from being walked on or pinched particularly at plugs, convenience receptacles,
and the point where they exit from the apparatus.

11) Only use the attachments/accessories specified by the manufacturer.

12) Use only with a cart, stand, tripod, bracket, or table specified by the manufacturer, or sold with the
apparatus. When a cart is used, use caution when moving the cart/apparatus combination to avoid
injury from tip-over.

13) Unplug this apparatus during lightning storms or when unused for long periods of time.

14) Refer all servicing to qualified service personnel. Servicing is required when the apparatus has been
damaged in any way, such as power supply cord or plug is damaged, liquid has been spilled or objects have
fallen into the apparatus, the apparatus has been exposed to rain or moisture, does not operate normally, or
has been dropped.
15) When Installing the PDP TV, do not block the appliance coupler with any structure.
User can easily have access to the coupler to disconnect it from AC main power

3. Precaution
In case of the following cases, unplug the unit from the wall outlet and contact qualified service center.

* When power supply code or plug is damaged


* If liquid has been spilled on the unit or if alien objects have fallen into the unit.
* If the TV has been exposed to rain or water.
* If the TV does not operate normally by following the operating instructions.
* If the TV dropped or the cabinet has been damaged
* When the TV exhibits a distinct change in performance.

This is 42” PDP TV is designed by Harsper. This monitor shall be used for TV.

This monitor has many kinds of I/O ports. It is PC, DVI, HDMI, AV1, AV2, S-Video/AV3,Component1
and Component2 Port.

This monitor displays 42inch 16:9 screen (16:9) image and with built in audio amplifier.

1. Power : Turn on/off the main power(Stand By)

2. IR Remote control sensing lens and power indicator. Normal : Green / Power off :Red

3. Source Select : Selects the input signal source. The sequence is Video1,Video2,
S-Video/AV3, Component1/2, PC, DVI,HDMI

4. Menu : Selects the OSD Menu .

When using the remote control, always point it directly the IR sensor of plasma monitor

. MUTE : Press to Mute the sound. Press again or press “Vol + / -“ is
get removed.
. A.Pos: Adjust the PC screen in position menu.

2) RS232C Structure
Command = [CMD][Set ID][Value]
CMD : Command To control PDP set.
Set ID : You can adjust the set ID to choose desired monitor ID number in special menu.
Adjustment range is 1 ~ 99. When selecting Set ID ‘00’, every connected PDP
set is controlled.
Value : To transmit command data.

【 Note 】 Set ID and Value are DEC code. (1~99 )

【 Example 】 You can Set the Set ID is 12, Volume Level is 34.
RS232C Code is“SVO1234”
“SVO” is CMD Code(Volume),
“12” is Set ID (Decimal 12)
“34” is Volume Level (Decimal 34 )

【 How to select setID 】


Press the menu button and then press the CH+ / CH- button to select SETUP/ADVANCED.
Press the menu button and Vol+ / Vol- button to select SET ID.
Press the PG+ / PG- button to select SET ID Value.

10.1 Firmware Upgrade Instruction Guide


10.1.1 Operating Firmware Download Program
1) Preparation
- Window OS: Windows 2000, or XP
- RS-232C Serial Cable (Crocs Cable)

2) Power on LCD, PDP


3) Run “IAP32MAIN2.exe”(Firmware Download Program) with Double Click

1) Click “Open Moto File” and choose "New Firmware File".

10.1.6 IAP Up-grade Mode Connection

By pressing IAP button, change its mode to IAP Mode and make it possible to download new
firmware. And you can see “IAP Mode” message. And it displays “IAP MODE…#002” on the
Set Menu.

When IAP Mode is connected, Front LED shows RED and Green Color.

10.2 Firmware Write Mode


10.2.1 When “QAP” mode is connected, erase Ole Firmware by pressing Erase button.
1) It shows “Erase Success” after erase old firmware.

2) Click “Write” for writing "New Firmware". (it takes about 4 minutes)

10.2.2 “Write Success” message would be displayed on the lower part of screen when the writing
process is completed.

10.2.3 Tune (Soft) AC Power off and on after writing.

10.3. Caution for Firmware Up-grade


- Heed not to disconnect AC Power supply (Power Code) or RS-232 Serial Cable during the
uploading operation. Otherwise, main board should be changed due to damaged flashy memory
at extreme situation
