As you know, next week I will be testifying alongside the Commissioner on the 14th.

I will need a full briefing book as has been prepared for me for previous testimonies. Have
staff build the book with a draft to be ready for my initial review on Tuesday COB.

Most of what we include will be what we have included in the past, stats, personnel,
academy numbers, attrition, SBI, sensors, mile of fence-roadways (compare and contrast
YTD from where we started and ended FY07), lighting miles, ASIC’s, OTM numbers and
drop of apps since the initiation of ending "catch and release, Operation Streamline (where
we are going full bore and areas in stand up mode), northern border numbers and plans to
augment, aerial platforms and number of UAV's, attrition numbers latest update on fence
issues to include work with Hidalgo County on the levee issues, fence situation with El Paso
Water District (include the name of the EPT District players), have Chief Manjarrez give us a
"feel" and stats for New Mexico especially drilling down on the (b) (6) ranch area-
also want EPT/MAR to provide activity numbers for Hudspeth County - comparison and
contrast and total number of BPA's assigned there now versus last year along with any other
data that will "deflate" any attempts by local county authorities to "skew" reality, Assaults
and Border Violence numbers FY 06, FY07, and YTD (include the number of times that we

(b) (6) musters relative to number of times that we have fired our weapons, shot,

recent update on (b) (6) case, TCA issue paper on Hwy-19 Checkpoint and construction
status, Operation Jump Start paper (Weekly Report and issue paper that covers what OJS has
accomplished since initiation), mission support position hiring status and talking points on
our plannned "path forward" to insure that no "badges go back to mission support duties"
once OJS fully draws down, include briefing papers that have been produced addressing the
55/40 Academy - the Field Training Unit Program - Post Academyy Program, Operation
Uniforce paper and incident in Jackson. Mississippi, .....

These are some of the things that come to mind as absolutes that should be included in the
briefing book.
