ENERGY EFFICIENCY PROJECT
REPORT GUIDELINES
For

The Submission Of Application To Be A Registered

Electrical Energy Manager Under Efficient
Management Of Electrical Energy Regulations 2008
Energy Efficiency Project Report
OVERVIEW

 The project must be related to any energy efficiency or any management

activity that have or potentially resulted in energy savings.

 The format and sequence of information to be provided are clearly outlined

in the application form as the basic or minimum information required to be
assessed by Energy Commission.

 To provide evident that applicants have some hands-on experiences in

implementing energy efficiency project to complement their experiences in
energy management as listed in Part E(i) in the application form.

 For the submission of application, a project report on energy efficiency must

be attached to complete the application to Energy Commission to become a
REEM.

 The minimum requirement is at least one electrical energy related projects.

TYPES OF PROJECT(1)

Implemented Project At Any Installation

 Any implemented project from the conceptual ideas,

implementation and to reporting on savings achieved

 In general, it would be a little bit difficult to get anyone

to have been involved in all stages alone since many
projects involved few people in a team and therefore
for the purpose of submission, applicants could submit
projects identified and implemented by a team but they
must be able to specify what was exactly their
involvement and roles in the project.
TYPES OF PROJECT(2)
Energy Audit Or Technical Feasibility Studies At Any Installation
 Findings are partly implemented or not implemented yet.

 Energy audit/technical study where key objectives are to

identify energy saving opportunities that may involve the
following:
• Measurement & analysis of energy data
• Application of knowledge on basic energy saving
measures for different types of energy using
equipment/system in order to identify energy saving
opportunities
• Basic engineering calculation to estimate energy saving
quantities.
• A report for such activities is also considered as an energy
efficiency project and qualified for the submission to
become a REEM.
