 FDP on Teaching Pedagogy
Institute of Advanced Management and Research organized two days FDP
Program on entitled theme i.e. 'Teaching Pedagogy for Faculty members of
different Departments' from 4th August to 5th August, 2017. The Basic Objective
of the FDP program was to create awareness towards number of pedagogies
available today with the teachers such as case study methods, simulations,
power-point presentations, role-play, assignments, chalk-board teaching etc.
We are living in the age of knowledge driven economy where technology has
made the accessibility of knowledge much easier than before. Moreover, the
need of employment is also increasing day by day.

Reorientation Program
To welcome back the students of MBA & PGDM after
successfully completing their Summer Internship
Programme, IAMR organized a full day Re-Orientation
Programme on August 11, 2017.
The programme revolved around how to develop
corporate competencies and achieve professional goals.
The programme was organized at Seminar Hall, IAMR,
Ghaziabad Campus. IAMR congratulates the second
year MBA &PGDM students and welcomes them back.

Batch 2017-2019
On the occasion of commencement of new batch; IAMR
organized three days extensive Induction Programme
from Aug 16 –19, 2017. The occasion was graced by
Eminent Speakers from the Corporate World. The
program includes a variety of activities such as Team-
Building Activities, Workshops and Informative Lectures.

The highlights of the programme were:

Sessions and many more interactive sessions.

Industrial Visit
To strengthen the Industry Academia Interface, students
of MBA &PGDM batch 2017-2019 along with faculty
members of Advanced Institute of Management &
Research, Ghaziabad visited WPIL Ghaziabad on August
Industrial Visit 18, 2017. WIPL Ghaziabad manufactures submersible
pumps for agriculture and Municipal corporations.
Student had interaction with the HR manager and came to
know about the functioning of the organization.

Industrial Visit
Workshop on Entrepreneurship Development Program
Three days workshop on Entrepreneurship Development Program was
organized at IAMR from 29th August to 31st August 2017, with an aim to
Develop entrepreneurial abilities among the Students needed to establish and
successfully run his/her enterprise. Accredited trainers and experts from SBI
conducted the program. The Basic objective of the workshop is to equip every
student with the required skills and Knowledge for starting and running the
enterprise and to gain practical business skills.

Teacher's Day Celebration- 5th September 2017

On the Occasion of Sarvpalli Radhakrishnan Birthday on 5th September 2017,
Students of Advanced Institute of Management & Research organized an event
for the Faculty members. The function started with a video dedicated to the
teachers, followed by introductory speech by Director General Dr. K.C Agrawal
then followed by activities of celebration, thanks and remembrance.“Teachers
are the torch bearers of the Gen-next”. Teachers play a major role in making
their students ...It was truly a proud day for the teachers to bask in the love and
attention they received from their students!
Industrial Visit – Mother Dairy
To strengthen the Industry Academia Interface, students of MBA &PGDM batch
2017-2019 along with faculty members of Advanced Institute of Management &
Research, Ghaziabad visited Mother Dairy on September 8, 2017. Student had
interaction with the HR manager and came to know about the functioning of the
organization.

Activity on Personality Psychometric Test

Psychometric tests are a standard and scientific method used to measure
individuals' mental capabilities and behavioral style. Psychometric test was
conducted in the classroom for MBA & PGDM final year students on the basis of
certain activities and the exercises to know the types and traits of personality
along with it aimed to measure attributes like intelligence and aptitude.

Finance Club Activity- An Overview of GST

The Finance Club organized a talk over to discuss about the GST on 25th
October, 2017 at PGDM Seminar Hall, IAMR College, Ghaziabad. The
objective of that event was to provide knowledge to the students on GST. All
student members of the Finance Club have actively participated in the event.
Two students, Mr. Priyansh Singhal and Miss Akansha Pandey have also give
presentation on the said theme. The event was ended with a last round of
question-answer session in which students of Finance Club asked questions to
Dr. Poonam Gupta, Associate Professor, IAMR and solved their queries.
 Finance Club Activity – Debate on Saving Matters-
Most Important for Economic Growth
Finance Club, IAMR, organized a Debate Competition on the topic-'Debate on
saving matters most important for economic growth' on 1st November, 2017.
Can a country grow faster by saving more? Finance Club Members addressed
this question both theoretically and empirically. A debate was organized for
Finance specialization Student on Domestic Saving Importance for Economic
growth. Student participated wholeheartedly and expressed their ideas in favor
and against of the topic.

Seminar on Business Data Analytics by NASSCOM

A Seminar on the Business Data Analytics was carried out by the experts from
the NASSCOM on 3rd Nov 2017. The guest speakers of the seminar discussed
a lot about the Current scenario of Business data analytics. They also solved the
student's queries by meaningful answers. Students learned a lot from that
workshop.

Alumni Interaction
As per the objective of enriching students with up to date knowledge about
market scenario, the IAMR (Dept. of MBA& PGDM) organized a regular Alumni
Interaction on Monday, 07th November 2017. Mr. Gangan Tyagi and Mr. Nitin
Chaudhary (Alumni), MBA (Batch 2013-15) interacted with students and shared
their rich experiences and advised to the students about learn and prepare
themselves for future challenges and opportunities. The students learned a lot
from their seniors and thanked them for providing so worthy suggestions for
their career.
 HR Club Activity: How to face the Interview
The workshop was conducted under HR Club Activity initiated by department of
Management on 7th of November, 2017. The title of workshop was “How to face
the Interview”. The workshop was conducted by Dr. Vivek Pachauri, Associate
Professor (HR), IAMR Group of Institutions and Ms. Neera Rathi, Assistant
Professor (HR) IAMR, The Objective of session was to make students/budding
managers to make aware about the probable queries to be asked by
Interviewers. The Resource persons helped the students to prepare their
answers under guidelines which can help them to develop the interviews skills
along with building their personality and attitude.

Leadership Talk on Optimal and Efficient Resource

Utilization
A Leadership Talk cum workshop on “Optimal and efficient resource utilization”
concept with the vision of “ZERO RESOURCE WASTAGE” held at Dept. of
Management in PGDM Block, IAMR, Ghaziabad on Wednesday, 8th November
2017. The event was conducted by Mr. Sunil Gupta an expert in the field. He
emphasized that this concept is beneficial to Individuals, Organizations, Nation
and Society as a whole.

Leadership Talk on GST

IAMR Group of institutions conducted a leadership talk on 11th November 2017
in college premises for Management and BCA students. CA Vipin Garg was
invited to deliver the lecture to the students. The objective of the workshop was
to make the students understand the newly implemented indirect taxation
system i.e. “Goods and Services Tax (GST)” CA Vipin Garg is a great speaker
who first got everyone in the seminar hall involved in the session by asking few
basic questions so that they'll get interested in the session. untry. Later on he
nicely described the whole concept of GST.
 Activity Based Learning Session-
Interpersonal Behavior at Work Place
One of the major problems in organizations is to analyze & improve the
interpersonal relationships/interpersonal Behavior at the work place. Keeping
in mind the learning objective, a session in a series was conducted for first year
students of Management course in IAMR Group of Institutions. The session was
initiated by department of Management on Nov 13, 2017 and the title of session
was “Interpersonal Behavior at workplace”. It was an activity based learning
(pedagogical tool) where the students learned practically the major issues in
interpersonal behavior and how to improve interpersonal relations at the work
place. The session was conducted by Dr. Vivek Pachauri, Associate Professor
(HR), IAMR Group of Institutions. The Resource persons helped the students to
make aware their behavioral skills gap and guided them which can help them to
shape their behavior and attitude.

Placement Drive/Online Registration Activity

Conducted by MCC, Delhi
A Placement Drive Activity by Model Career Centre, Delhi
(MCC) was carried out succefully in IAMR, Ghaziabad
Campus. The session was too informative & students also
asked questions related to different job positions in the
Management world. The Guest speaker from CII-MCC,
Delhi has also felicitated students about the essential
interpersonal skills for management trainee positions.

Mock Group Discussion Activity for MBA Students

To learn the art of right and healthy Groups Discussions Process is too
necessary for every Managements student. On 14th November, 2017, one
mock Group Discussion activity on the entitled Theme- 'The Foreign
Universities should be allowed in India or not' was done in MBA Classroom at
IAMR Premises. Mr. Mohd Imran, Assistant Professor, IAMR helped and
motivated students to well perform for a Group Discussion activity. Students
acted well and understood the process of Group Discussion.
 Financial Literacy Workshop by FLAB India
Institute of Advanced Management and Research has conducted a leadership
talk cum workshop on “Financial Literacy” by FLAB INDIA, a SEBI
representative on Wednesday 15th November 2017 in IAMR campus for
management students. The objective was to create a Financially Aware and
Empowered India and to help people manage money more effectively to
achieve Financial Well Being. Dr. (Prof) R K Chopra has more than 25 years of
experience in higher education, Finance teaching, HR Policies and promoting
new educational ventures. Currently, he is involved with post-graduate
academic delivery of Banking, Insurance, Derivatives, Mutual Funds,
Management accounting and Marketing of services in Indian, British and
Australian education focused on how to manage finance. He enlightened with
his experience on financial planning. Students asked many questions from the
students. He gave financial mantra by citing example of Tennis Player Boris
Becker.

Marketing Club Activity on Field Sales Skills

A Field Sales Activity was done on 16th November 2017 by the Member
Students of the Marketing Club at Cafeteria, IAMR campus building. Prof.
Sanjiv Layak states the basics of selling to the Club Member students. The
basic objective of this field activity was to make aware the students with the
required skills and knowledge for starting a career in sales jobs positions. With
an aim to learn the basics of selling skills, students tried to sell the offering
products by the cafeteria to the targeted audience. The students worked as the
sales executives and enjoyed a lot of the selling profession activities.

STOCK Mind 6 Winner

The PGDM 3rd Semester Student Ms. Sakshi
Aggarwal become College winner and Mr. Nidhish
Thomas secured the first runner -up place in the
Stock Mind Game- the Intra college Stock Mind- 6
competition. IAMR Family congratulates to both of
the students. Ms. Sakshi Aggarwal will also move
for competing in the national round of the above
game.
 Academic Appreciation Ceremony for
University Gold Medalist Students
On 24th Nov 2017, IAMR organized an Academic appreciation ceremony for
gold medalist students in the auditorium of campus. Management of IAMR,
HOD's, faculty members of Life Science department and Physiotherapy
department were present. It is due to the continuous support and effort of their
parents. IAMR welcome to students and their parents. IAMR believes in
appreciating the students who are active, sharp and hard working. Secretary
and Joint Secretary of IAMR group of institution gave the appreciation certificate
and token of love to the student. Students shared their experiences with juniors.
It was an unforgettable moment for institutions as well as the proud parents of
students.
