Professional Experience

Worked as TSM Admin in IBM (Mumbai) from april 2016to May 2017.

Worked in Mphasis (Pune) from Nov 2013 to June 2015.


Roles & Responsibilities in Lodha:

 Provisioning EC2 instances according to requirements and configuring networking


connectivity to them by analyzing access limit (private or public subnets) to it with
ensuring security.
 Automating backups(AMI and snapshot) and scheduling of nodes using AWS Lambda
 Configuring VPC, subnets and route tables according to the architecture and
requirements.
 Creating and configuring ELBs and Auto scaling by analyzing requirements.
 Troubleshooting EC2 instance and ELB issues.
 Provisioning S3 storage resources to users and managing access to them.
 Cross account access to S3 resource and EC2 instance accessing S3 resources
management.
 Provisioning AWS Glacier Vaults and managing specific access to the vaults specific to
user. Restricting
user to download, upload or multipart upload/download.
 Monitoring Cloud Trail and Cloud Watch to analyze access and event logs.
 Good knowledge on Remedy Ticketing tool.

actions; and to monitor logs for a better understanding and operation of the system.

procedures, troubleshooting guides, and keep infrastructure and architecture drawings
current with changes resolved customer issues in a clear, courteous and straightforward
manner.

Roles & Responsibilities in IBM:

 Registering nodes to the Domain, configuring and scheduling of BA clients for backups,
based on client requirements.

 Troubleshoot and fix the issues in case of Backup failure/missed.

 Registering, Removing, associating and deleting association of node on client


Requirements.

 Define and Configure the Policy domain, Policy Set, Management class, Backup copy group,
Archive copy group and its parameters as per Customers requirement.

 Define and configure the client schedules and administrative schedules. Monitoring &
managing backup and recovery.

 Good exposure in TSM Administration and related concepts such as migration, Space
reclamation, expiration, DB backup, volhist, devconfig backup, expire inventory process.

 Configuring TSM operations like Backup DB, expiration, migration, reclamation, collocation
etc.

 Defining and configuring the client option sets for different flavors of clients.

 Tape Library availability, performance monitoring & reporting of drives and paths.

 Managing the Activity Log Size, Expiration and Reclamation for consolidating the space on
TSM Server Storage.

 Maintain and monitor TSM Database, recovery log and storage pools. Handles TSM Server
related issues viz. recovery log pinning, scratch maintenance.

 Monitoring Database, Recovery Log Utilization and extending the space if required, ensure
availability of Scratch Volumes in library.

 Handling Media Management activities like check-in, checkout, labeling tape volumes.

 Exposure on restoration of TSM DB.

 Good exposure in file system and user specific restores in Windows and UNIX depending on
the requirement of the client.

 Knowledge of DRM environment.

 Knowledge of LAN Free concepts, configuration and its related troubleshooting in case of
failures.
 Preparing backup reports based on client requirements.

 Attending daily calls for ongoing issues.

Roles & Responsibilities in Mphasis:

 Health check of the servers, Checking Errors if any backups missed, severed or failed and
troubleshoots backup issues based on the priority.

 Client Configurations of new nodes for Windows and Unix Platforms.

 Worked on the Restore requests from clients based on the severities.

 Generating reports and documentation of all daily operations and sending it Management.

 Worked on Citrix Platform for certain client and also Jump Servers.

 Worked for different clients and regions like Tulsa, Plano, charlotte etc.

 Worked on ticketing tools, HP Service Manager (HPSM9) and Service Center (Digital Work
flow)

 Strong experience on SERVICE CENTER and HP ticketing tools.

Knowledge on TSM:

 Basic housekeeping activities like health checking of TSM DB, Recovery Log and storage pool
utilization.

 Knowledge on Server process like Expiration, Reclamation, Collocation, Storage Pool


Migration of Tape Storage Pool Volumes.

 Registering nodes to the Policy Domains and Associating schedules to them.

 Creating the Storage Pools, Defining Policy Domains, Management Classes and Copy
Groups.

 Maintenance and troubleshooting of TSM Servers and TSM Client applications on Windows
& UNIX.

 Knowledge on checking administrative schedule like Backup Stgpool, DB Backup and client
schedules, if any failures working on it based on priority.
 Media management –Checking Scratch Count of Library.

 Troubleshooting the issues related to drives and paths.

 Worked on basic concepts of HPDP backup tool in previous environment.

 Knowledge on Client installations and having experience in restoring TSM DB in previous


environment when TSM server was down when storage outage occurs.

 Basic Knowledge on HPDP scheduling and Restoring.
