There are several myths surrounding Aphrodite's origin story. In some


tales, it is beleived she was born from the sea. In all cases, she is the
Greek Goddess of love, beauty, and pleasure. She is the daughter of Zeus
and mother of Eros, whose roman equivalent is Cupid. Apart from her
natural beauty, she also had a magical girdle that compelled everyone to
desire her. Aphrodite represented affection and the attraction
that binds people together.
