ARTS 2010-2011 Course Outline (216 hours)

Students learn to see photographically through an exploration of the basic tools,


techniques and aesthetics of digital photography, with an emphasis on the cre-
Professional ative use of camera controls, digital imaging software, and an awareness of the
Knowledge critical issues in contemporary photography. At the end of the Course, students
take a comprehensive written and applied assessment to earn a Photography
Certificate. The Photography Course consists of approximately 216 hours of
classroom instruction over a two year period.
