My Past Life

Life is always essential for a person’s well-being because it represents how it

can facilitate decisions, activities, and the existence of an individual. Each person can
on only live once, which enhances the credibility of the organization to become
productive as well as to ensure that the level of their credibility becomes responsive
to environmental stimuli. Life is always precious that all organisms want to maximize
this opportunity so that they can establish a fruitful and productive well-being that
can inspire other individuals. However, past life is something that is considered
sensitive because there are different arguments that could tackle about the norms and
the practices that past life events can influence our present generation. This paper
aims to discuss about my past life that makes a significant reason to my existence in
life.

If you are basing from flashbacks, my past life can be recalled as a person
from the past generation who also lived in a simple life from the previous generation.
It was a generation that learned something different due to the existent facilities and
situation that are comparable in the present society. My past life reveals a story on
how I successfully managed my life gracefully until my demise and then reborn in the
present day. For this reason, past life is a significant measure for myself to become
true to my past activities because there are background of interests that can generate a
significant improvement with my present activities. Although others find it weird, my
past life reveals that I have a mission in the present society where I can show relevant
information from the previous activities that can be corrected.

The advantage of having a past life is that you are able to recall your past
experiences in your present body that reflects your previous status. Your spiritual
essence will bring you the norms and practices that you have already been applied
from your past life, which could ensure that you will prevent past mistakes that
happened in the past. This is similar with the accomplishments made from the past
that it can be continued from the present day as your second life. The disadvantage is
that your re-existence in the present day will generate a few believers. The reason
behind is that there are interests of the general population have yet to prove this
theorem in their studies. Lack of evidence pointing towards the past life endangers a
person’s susceptibility to become reliable due to the narrative experience being
shared without citing relevant facts.

The learning insight that can be taken from this story is the ability of an
individual to share their thoughts and experiences to others. For this reason, sharing
informative scenarios and experiences creates a relative advantage to the routine of an
individual towards others. The relevance of revealing the past life may not be an easy
task to fulfill, but it is still important for the world to know that there are such things
that comprehends with the traditional belief and values in the present society. My past
life reveals that there are helpful practices from the past that allow your present body
to change it and will start performing a productive lifestyle. Reminiscing past life
enhances a creative framework for individuals to become aware about unconventional
issues that relates with their present activities and issues in the present life (Harvey,
2012).
 Industrial safety
Industrial safety is one of the most important measures, many companies
consider when developing their strategic plans to protect the future of the company,
including employees, the local population from risks and other unforeseen threats.
Safety is an important aspect of any industry; accident-free work environment boosts
the morale of workers but also increase productivity. By recognizing these facts,
manufacturers have taken several measures in preparation for any eventuality. Many
companies have developed safety policies, manuals, and even separate departments
that ensure that all safety practices are in place. The departments are charged with the
major responsibility of creating awareness about safety.

Employees are expected to adhere to the rule and mandatory requirements that
govern safety to prevent occupational injuries and accidents that can be avoided.
Promoting safety means preventing any injuries and from any harm or danger. These
include taking precaution to prevent accident or losses and industrial pollution .Safety
deals with the improvement of working conditions for better health. Any undesired
events within any workplace can result in death, ill health, damage, loss or injury.
That is why management needs to be responsible for providing safe working
environment to promote individual safety. These require proper training and
developing action plans to promote safe practices.

It not enough to look at employee safety, industrial safety is about keeping the
environment clean to prevent any illness caused by industrial pollution, therefore
safety practices need to consider not only employees but the external environment
that might cause harm to not only employees but also affect the organization and its
surrounding. If an industry pollutes its surrounding environment, it will affect even
the employees because their health is at risk, hence this will affect production. If the
environment is clean, employees will be safe.

It is the obligation of every company to work towards keeping its environment

clean. Employees and the population living near these industries should not be
exposed to hazards; preventive measures need to be in place to eliminate any
hazardous wastes. Most companies have taken safety precautions because they are
aware of the heavy losses associated with industrial accidents, whether it is the direct
loss or indirect loss. Direct loss occurs when employers are forced by law to
compensate workers or the local community by paying for their medical expenses or
paying for the damages in term of money.

That is why in response to numerous risks and threat facing making

companies, companies have security plans and policies to guide its operations. Even
though many security plans have been implemented, these plans alone cannot
guarantee safety at all times, there is the need in involves the local population and
employees to understand the dangers involved and the threats that can affect their
productivity. Most importantly, the company needs to monitor safety standards and
conduct periodic audits to reinforce the concept of safety, which needs to be among
the company’s core values.
 A good security plan needs to have an elaborate process that incorporates
government related standard like the occupational safety act, the health act, the
environment protection act the national incident management system and the incident
command compliance systems amongst others . These standards need to be monitored
to enforce government regulations. The internal security plan is important and needs a
close corporation between the organization, workers, emergency service providers
and law enforcers. A good industrial safety practice needs to include management of
operations and events within an industry to protect its employees and assets to
minimize the risk and prevent any near misses. By implementing relevant laws
compliance and best practice, will have most safety issues addressed.
 A Duty of Care
“A duty of care” implies the responsibility that one party has to another, where
the first party has to ensure that the second party is protected from unreasonable harm
or loss. It is one’s legal duty to ensure that when dealing with other people or
members of the public, he or she exercises caution, attention, and prudence by taking
necessary measures to avoid preventable harm.

An employer has to ensure that the employee’s health, wellbeing, and safety
are assured. Nurses and doctors also have a duty of care to ensure that the health and
wellbeing of patients are maintained. Anyone who is in charge of a situation has to
demonstrate concern to uphold the mental and physical well being of their subject. It
is a legal requirement for the person in charge or the defendant to ensure that loss or
unreasonable harm does not occur to the claimant or the victim.

A duty of care exists in situations where an individual or a group of people are

engaged in activities that pose a major risk of reasonable harm, mentally,
economically, or physically to other people. For instance, workers constructing a
building are at risk of physical harm. Their employer has the duty to ensure that
necessary safety measures are put in place. Road users need to take caution to prevent
other road users from suffering harm. Similarly, a manufacturer has to ensure that the
goods manufactured do not cause harm to the consumer.

Safety Patrol
A safety patrol officer (SPO) program is one of the most important ways in
which an individual can learn to further his responsibility in ensuring the safety of
self and others. Safety patrol takes into consideration the safety of everyone and
ensures that the area and general environment is safe. Any obstacles that could be
hazardous to other people are removed to ensure that public safety is upheld.

Some years ago, I was tasked with being an SPO for an Academy. I worked
under a lady known as Ms. White who directed the Safety Patrol Program. I first
underwent training and had to be in school three days each week: Monday, Thursday,
and Friday. It was a community service that was to take me two hours or 120 minutes
in total. On the three aforementioned days, I had to be in school by 7:45 a. m, go to
the SPO program director and sign. After getting dressed in my official wear, I had to
be at my post by 7:50 a.m. I carried out my shift until 8:15 a.m.

As an SPO, my task entailed helping the other students at the crosswalk. I was
tasked with watching the cross guard’s signal to give the pedestrians the go-ahead to
cross. I often used my arms to signal to pedestrians at the crosswalk to cross when it
was safe to do so. Whenever it was not safe to cross, I would often spread my feet
apart and my arms would, not be raised, but be at my sides. In most cases, the
pedestrians would rely on me during such times to determine when it was safe to
cross. Others would, of course, insist that they are getting late for their activities.
However, I was determined to ensure everyone went by the directions that I gave.
Mrs. White was impressed to note that the crosswalk was well manned. Whenever I
was in doubt of anything, I would often approach her and get the necessary advice
and help. At 8:15 a. m, I would be through with the SPO program and I would return
to my usual school activities. Children were my main concern as I knew they could
be easily knocked down on crosswalks. Occasionally, I would receive “thank you”
comments from passengers. At other times, smiles from crosswalk users would make
my day brighter. I learned that societal safety begins with each individual person’s
safety.

By the time I completed the 120 minutes of community service, I had learned a
lot. I gained leadership skills, as I learned how to direct people and keep them safe
from potential harm. During the 25 minutes when I would direct pedestrians, they
relied on my guidance to cross or wait. I also gained knowledge in that I did precisely
what was necessary and made key decisions when I had to. I got to understand the
rhythm that guides the movement of people, and I was compelled to use good
judgment always. I became even more disciplined, as I had to be at the school early,
pass through Ms. White’s office, sign, and head to the crosswalk before 7:50 a.m. To
this day, I maintain the discipline as I have to wake up early and start my day’s plans.

In conclusion, safety patrol program is a crucial element that empowers youth

to become responsible individuals as it requires them to care for not just their own
safety but that of others as well. In my case, I learned a lot during safety patrol
community service, and I appreciate the role of SPO in the safety and well-being of
various community members.
