1.0 Introduction:

This document describes the design of the Nosing Girder (NG) for

the launching of 61.89m steel truss at curry Road Railway Crossing

for Mumbai Monorail Project. The NG is analysed for the launching

and erection stages. This document presents the design of NG for

critical forces occuring in both the conditions.

2.0 Codes and References:

The following drawings / documents are referred or have influenced in

the preperation of this calculation note:

(i) IS:800 :2007 Code of Practice for General Construction in Steel.

(iii) Our latest Launching scheme drawings O8164-Q-BR-02-CQ-

0752 to 754 & Fabrication drawings O8164-Q-BR-02-FB-0354 to 0356

(iv) Refer our Annexure A & B for stagewise Maximum forces in each

members of Nosing Girder .

3.0 Erection Scheme

The 61.89m Steel Truss & Nosing Girder shall be assembled on

the Pier 1C13 side over the trestles & HD Towers . And shall be launched

forward towards the Pier 1C12 supported over the trestle T0 to T6 till

the steel truss reaches the final position.

(i) Refer our latest scheme dwg : O8164-Q-BR-02-CQ-0752 to 754

for latest truss launching scheme.

(ii) Refer our latest Document : O8164-Q-BR-CM-DC-0103 for various

stages of launching considered for the analysis of Nosing girder, Rear Frame &

Steel Truss.

The Design of the Nosing Girder (NG) for the Launching of steel truss
