Negative effects about living in a society which follows a capitalist system.

We live in a world that is subjected to deep social and economic

transformations. One of its most notorious facets is the Capitalism, which has
overcome all the other social and economic models that have been in the world.
For many years we have followed a Capitalist system, which gave us many useful
things; but we haven’t realised that it is taking control of our lives, it exists thanks
to the poverty that it has generated, and it’s using the media as a weapon to
manipulate people as a mass.

For years the Capitalist system has slowly wormed itself into our lives with
something powerful. In today's world it is known that everything revolves around
money. Thanks to the Capitalist system we are convinced that to live is to consume,
but it depends on us if it increases or decreases because it might bring us
consequences, and one of them is the destruction of our planet and ourselves. As a
culture the people who moves that system, have imposed on us a way to live, to
produce, to consume, and to interact with others.

While there are poor people, Capitalism has had more advantages in the
accumulation of wealth. It is easy to see in big factories where there’s good profit,
but people are forced to live with a very low salary and work almost all their lives.
There are always disadvantages for the most vulnerable people. Capitalism as an
economic system is unjust and it exploits people also, where the most '' strong ''
wins and the others impoverish.

Media is present in society as usual, giving people information, but subtly and
invisibly, people receive different conceptions of the world, society, which actually
are manipulated. From this perspective in our daily life there are little things that
seem to have no relation with this issue; but in reality are manipulating us.
Capitalism have a really big advantage: the media. The main role of the media is to
mask reality, while we are entertained with TV, the internet, politicians, society
problems, and other things that are the weapon of capitalism to manipulate us. But
that is something inherent in the world that we have had to live in.

In conclusion, Capitalism is definitely only one way to mark differences where there
is none. Thus, we have grown into a society that has lost its identity and are
confused between what we are and what we have. For that and many other
reasons I think that we should create awareness to transform our realities. As
someone famous said: ‘You can fool everybody once, but you can’t fool everyone
all the time’
