Level 1 – Balance Beam

DESCRIPTION VALUE ERRORS DEDUCTIONS


1.Jump to support, ¼ turn to straddle on beam. Lean forward & lay down forward, push 0.5 • Usual errors 0.1-0.3 each
arm straight to cobra stretch,then push back and sit on knees, then lift L leg up to 0.5
knee balance (2 sec) 0.5 • hold less then 2 sec 0.1-0.2

2. Step L leg forward & stand up with arms open side, point R leg at the back.
Step R leg forward and wave arms - L in front R side. 0.5 • Usual errors 0.1-0.3 each
Step L leg forward and wave arms - R in front L side 0.5

3. Swing R leg behind before kick forward to horizontal, then touch beam & up . 0.5 • Usual errors 0.1-0.3
Repeat on L leg. Arms hold sideway 0.5 • kick below horizontal 0.1-0.2

4. Step forward closed R leg behind then swing arms up and straight jump 1.0 • Lack of height 0.1-0.2
• usual errors 0.1-0.3 each

5. Put arms at waist, R leg passe' and stretch forward then point to beam, repeat on L leg 0.5 • Usual errors 0.1-0.3 each

6. L leg step forward ¼ turn to L, face side of beam with stand on L leg, point R leg. 1.0 • Lack of coordination 0.1
Close legs while circling arms in front, upwards then open & bend knees, body wave • usual errors 0.1-0.3 each
and stand straight (arms open side)

7. ¼ turn , walk 2 steps forward, arms up ½ turn on toes then open arms and land flat feet. 1.0 • Incomplete turn 0.1-0.2
Repeat raise up on toes ½ turn and land with arms open 1.0

8. Walk to end of beam, straight jump dismount 1.5 • Usual errors 0.1-0.3 each
