A. Amigos nuevos
Imagine that you are writing to a new pen pal. Think about how you would introduce yourself and what you would want
him/her to know about you. Write a letter of introduction. You should also ask questions about your pen pal in your
letter. The letter should again be at least 50 words in length and should be considered complete by the time you sign off.
Your salutation should be: “Querido/a Amigo/a” and your closing should be: ¡Hasta pronto!

It’s never too early to start planning for a vacation! Write a letter to me/your mom/a friend, whomever telling what your
plans are for this coming spring or summer break. You should use a variety of sentence structures, but remember that
when you talk about things you are GOING TO DO, you should use “ir + a + infinitive”. Your response should be at least
50 words in length (but more importantly the 50 words, if you are going to count them, should adequately and
completely describe your plan.)
