Calibration Problem #1

Prepare a calibration chart (one foot increments after hopper) for a rectangular bin.
Determine the volume of the hopper. Then determine one foot increments after the
hopper including the hopper volume in the increments. Utilize Excel.
Calibration Problem #2

Prepare a calibration chart (one foot increments after hopper) for a round bin.
Determine the volume of the hopper. Then determine one foot increments after the
hopper including the hopper volume in the increments. Utilize Excel.
VOLUME COMPUTATIONS

Volume of a Square Tank V=WxLxH

W = Width
L = Length
H = Height
Volume of Frustum of a V = 1/3 H [B + b + sqrt(B * b)]
Pyramid
H = Height
B = Area of Large Base
b = Area of Small base
Volume of a Cylinder V = π R2H

π = 3.1416
R = Radius
H = Height
Volume of Frustum of a V = 1/3 π H ( r 2 + R 2 + rR)
Cone
π= 3.1416
r = radius of Small Base
R = Radius of Large Base
H = Height
