INDAdeptG TECHNOLOGY FOR DEEP DESULFURIZATION

OF GASOLINE STREAMS

Introduction Salient Features

INDAdeptG is a reactive adsorption based  Reduces sulfur content < 10 ppm

process technology & uses proprietary  Uses low cost patented adsorbent
adsorbent developed by IndianOil R&D  Saves 20-30% overall hydrogen
for reducing total sulfur from cracked consumption as compared to other
gasoline for production of low sulfur competing technologies
gasoline component meeting Euro-V  Lower octane loss (2-3 units)
sulfur specification. Hydrogen
consumption is low due to less saturation Commercialization
of olefins as compared to other
competitor technologies. Demonstration unit of 35000 MTPA is
under implementation at Guwahati
Process Description Refinery for reduction of sulphur content

bed reactors operated in swing mode of commissioned by mid of 2016.
adsorption & regeneration. After
reaching the breakthrough point, the
adsorbent is regenerated with lean air by
oxidation of adsorbed sulfur & coke
followed by activation with hydrogen.

During adsorption step, cracked gasoline

feed along with hydrogen is contacted
with the proprietary adsorbent in a fixed
bed reactor at 250 to 3000C & 15 to 20
bar.

The process is capable of processing full

range cracked naphtha. The process
consumes lower hydrogen (0.15 to 0.25
wt% of feed) with minimal octane loss
of 2 to 3 units.
