COURSE DEVELOPMENT EXPERIENCE:


Salt Lake Community College – Salt Lake City, Utah
Professor, Tenured – Accounting Program (August 1998 – Present)

Developed courses for flipped classroom, hybrid, and online delivery via Canvas and
Blackboard. Created significant amounts of instructor-prepared multi-media resources, including
individually created manual assignments, lecture handouts, lecture videos, test review
materials, etc. to supplement and enhance the textbook.

Courses Developed:
Financial Accounting Principles I and II – residential, hybrid, & online
Managerial Accounting Principles – residential, hybrid, & online
Governmental and Not-for-profit Accounting – residential, hybrid, & online
Governmental and Not-for-profit Accounting – completely new course for SLCC. Started
the course as a pilot course – researched and selected the textbook, decided chapter
coverage, determined course learning objectives, developed assessment objectives and
measurements, etc. Now the course is one of the accounting electives in our program
and works favorably for developing students to enter the workforce as an associate’s
degree student.
Financial Statement Analysis – hybrid & online
Financial Statement Analysis – completely new course for SLCC. Completely developed
the course – researched and selected the textbook, decided chapter coverage,
determined course learning objectives, developed assessment objectives and
measurements, etc. This course is included in both the Accounting Program and the
Finance Program as an elective course.
