C. Teaching Learning Steps

1. Pre Activity

a. Teacher greets students

Teacher : “good morning students.”

Students : “good morning mam.”

Teacher : “how are you today?”


Students : “I’m fine, and you?”

Teacher : “I’m fine too thank you.

b. Teacher gives brainstorming to students

Teacher : “Did you say “good morning” to your family?”

Students :”Yes, mam!”

Teacher :”Did your mother say “good night” before sleeping?”

Students :”Yes, mam!”

c. Teacher introduces the subject matter to students

Teacher : “Okay class, i will give you a song about greeting and take
leaving.”

2. Main Activity

a. Teacher prepares the song

b. Teacher plays the song twice and distrubutes the lyric of song. First,
students listen to the song. Second, they sing the song together .

c. Teacher plays the song sentance by sentance and asks students to repeat it
till they can pronouce it correctly
Teacher :”How are you today. Repeat after me!”

Students :”How are you today.”

Teacher : (chooses one of students to repeat)

Student A :”How are you today.”

Teacher :”Okay, good!”

Teacher :”I’m fine thank you. Repeat after me!”

Students :”I’m fine thank you.”

Teacher : (chooses one of students to repeat)

Student B :”I’m fine thank you.”

Teacher :”Okay, good!”

Teacher :”It’s so nice to see you. Repeat after me!”

Students :”It’s so nice to see you.”

Teacher : (chooses one of students to repeat)

Student C :”It’s so nice to see you.”

Teacher :”Okay, good!”

Teacher :”Good bye my friend. Repeat after me!”

Students :”God bye my friend.”

Teacher : (chooses one of students to repeat)

Student D :”Good bye my friend.”

Teacher :”Okay, good!”

Teacher :”I’ll see you later. Repeat after me!”

Students :”I’ll see you later.”

Teacher : (chooses one of students to repeat)


Student E :”I’ll see you later.”

Teacher :”Okay, good!”

Teacher :”How are you doing. Repeat after me!”

Students :”How are you doing.”

Teacher : (chooses one of students to repeat)

Student F :”How are you doing.”

Teacher :”Okay, good!”

Teacher :”I’m very well, thank you. Repeat after me!”

Students :”I’m very well thank you.”

Teacher : (chooses one of students to repeat)

Student G :”I’m very well, thank you.”

Teacher :”Okay, great!”

d. Teacher asks students to identify the song which are formal and nonformal

Teacher : “Please identify the song which are formal or non formal!”

Students :” Okay,mam!” (after indentifying)

Student A : (raise her hand)”Formal, mam!”

Student B :(raise her hand) “Nonformal, mam!”

e. Teacher explains the theory of greeting and take leaving


f. Teacher asks students to do the exercise

Teacher :”Please, do the exercises page 55 and 56!”

Students :”Okay,mam!”
g. Teacher asks students to practice the dialogue with their partner in front of
class after finishing it.
3. Post Activity

b. Teacher gives homework to students

Teacher :”Because time is up, and now I will give you a homework.
Please make a short dialogue with greeting and take leaving expression!
Submit it next week!”

Students :”Okay,mam!”

c. Teacher ends the class

Teacher :” Okay, thank for your attention and spirit! Good luck and see
you later!”

Students :’See you too!”
