Our Company
VELOSI offers technical expertise in Quality Assurance, Quality Control, Asset Integrity,
and HSE across five continents, to the Energy and Mining sectors. Our range of services
revolves around our maxim, Making Plant Safe, by ensuring the Integrity, Safety, and
Efficiency of Plant.

VELOSI has entered into another chapter of its illustrious career. Into its third decade,
VELOSI is now part of the Applus+ Group of companies, one of the world’s ten largest firms in
the conformity assessment sector.

It is now necessary for us to re-brand ourselves to reflect our relationship with the
Applus+ Group.

Positioning Statement
Our company identity is one of the most valuable assets we have and we must maximise its
potential by creating a point of difference in the minds of our stakeholders. By applying a
singular vision to everything we do, we can create preference and communicate clearly.

This document introduces Applus+ VELOSI positioning which encapsulates the key
differentiating characteristics of our company and drives the way we behave.

These guidelines set out to inform and inspire our communication partners about our
company identity. The guidelines outline the principles for the way in which our identity
is expressed. For those of us who communicate the brand, these guidelines are also an
important tool to help guide our creative expression.

It is important to ensure that all our visual communications are aligned with the Applus+
VELOSI positioning so that our stakeholders will receive consistent messages about who we
are and what we stand for.

Applus+ brand
The Applus+ brand consists of two inseparable elements - the logo and the symbol - whose spacing and layout may not be
altered under any circumstances. The spacing between the brand elements is established according to the proportions
shown on this page. The minimum size in which the brand may be reproduced is 15mm in width.

Positioning
There are two established positions for the Applus+ brand. The first and main position is, whenever possible, along the right
margin. The second is along the left margin. In the event that the brand is not accompanied by an image and has prominence
on the page, it may be centred in the available space.

INCORRECT USAGE
The brand is the main element of our visual identity. We must never allow it to be altered or replaced; if we change the brand
we misrepresent our graphic personality, and our image is damaged as a result. This page illustrates some examples where
the brand is improperly used or applied.

clear space & minimum size


Clear Space
In order for the Brand Mark to achieve maximum impact, a clear space surrounding the Logo has been defined. A minimum
distance of 1A must be kept clear around the Logo. It is preferable if a larger area be defined as the clear space whenever
possible.

The minimum clear space is shown here as ‘A’ (where ‘A’ is equal to the height of the letter of the logotype).

Protected area
The brand has a protected area, whose function is to prevent any element (images, fonts, borders or other) from interfering
with its readability and accurate reproduction.

Minimum Size
The minimum size in which the brand may be reproduced is 23mm in width.
