UNPARALLELED LOVE

The story revolves to how the father maltreated his son and wife, prioritizing the vices over to
his family. Regrets and sorrows emphasizes in the movie, and I learned that we should do the best for
our family make good memories and make use the time well. Because tomorrow is always a mystery to
us and today is a gift from God that’s why they call it present so treasure every presents that will come
to us.

SUGAT NG KAHAPON

The main character was raped and she can’t open it up to her mother and that is the reason why
she don’t have a peaceful life as what the normal teenager must have. I learned a very important lesson
in this movie and that is to be the light and hope to others. How I’m going to do that? Simply listening to
others story and even smiling to them it will give them hope and idea to continue to live knowing that
there is someone that is willing to hear and understand her stories. As for the one who have problem,
try to share and seek for advices for your problem it takes two to tango as what they say. Every problem
has its own solution they might heavy or not as long as they called it problem there is always a solution.

TETAY

Extenal and Internal factors whatever factors it is, they have a big contribution to our daily
decisions. Decisions that are based to ourselves and of course for the sake to our love one to our family,
I have learned in this movie even though we love our family we should not forget ourselves especially
our health. Basically if you forget how to take care yourself to the point as what the main character
diagnosed by a HIV that will really destroy not only your health but also as a person in a community.

USOK NG KAPALARAN

In this movie where the main character is a firsthand smoker and the victim is his mother.
Usually to us people we really can’t see the importance of a person unless if this persons presence is no
longer here, as what Justin Beiber songs says IT IS TOO LATE TO SAY SORRY yes it is too late for his son to
say sorry his mother. For me this movie really teaches me something that is incredibly important as a
daughter. Personally I’m not sweet, caring and loving daughter to my parents but this movie teach me
that I should be very good to my parents love them as I love my life. And of course the most important
thing never be the reason of the loss of your love ones, never engaged in smoking.
ULIRANG AMA INA

In this movie I learned that age? Gender? Sexuality? Biological? Whatever it is as long as you are
willing and whole heartedly accept the responsibility to take care and nurture the child those things
above doesn’t matter anymore.

SERBIS

As a future social worker and as a service provider in the future I learned that in dealing to the
customers we should give the best of all the best.

REMEMBER:

Problems are everywhere the all you need to do is seek for the best solution not for another
problem charge the experience learn from it and grow as a positive person. And take good care not only
to the others but of course to loves one.
1st WEEK

September 25, 2017 my first week as intern in MHARS MC, by the help of Maam Alunan and to
other social workers and officers in the hospital I learned a lot of things that I think has a very big help to
me a as a student and as an intern. First thing first, the most important is Respect we should respect all
the people inside and out of the hospital greet them with a smile, either they were the head of the
hospital or the customers. We are also required to have a nameplate and uniforms so that we will be
recognized as affiliates in the hospital. Theories and methods that are taught in the school must be put
into action in this field. Maam Alunan let us interns read a very thick book coming from the DOH
containing a lot of ideas how to deal and give the best of all the best quality to the customers. From
reading I learned a very important lesson specifically to the word quality Ford (1984,1990) said that the
quality can only be defined by the customer. The medical social workers standard quality services shall
always meet the needs of the patients. The customers must receive a comprehensive assistance that is
based upon a genuine assessment of need the user’s perspective. I totally agree to Mr. Ford, we really
need feedbacks from them in order to maintain the strengths and work on the weaknesses we have as a
service providers. So much for the learning of the books the main idea is to give and ensure that the care
and services that we provide to the patients are at the most highest degree.

At the orientation that we had, I learned so much about the hospital the history itself the rules
and regulations, and the importance of the standard in giving the best quality care. Ms. Grace Javier as
one of the effective speaker in our orientation I am totally amazed on how she work based on the
stories that she shared to us that whatever time it is she must be ready, to serve the patients. The
orientation went well living us a single idea but very important and that is to be good all the time, be
good to all people inside and out of the hospital, follow rules and be good to yourself in this way there
would no problem. In my third day in the hospital the office of medical social worker got a call from the
ER that they need an intern there, as one that was tasked to the ER I volunteer to be the first to go in
there and take the challenge I met Maam Griffith and she introduces me the intake and let me put the
information from the intake to the computer. She discussed the importance of the intake form and what
were in it. I am grateful that in this point I learned to fill out the form first thing is to ask the patients if
they were first timers in this hospital or they are readmitted, if the patients was readmitted we should
put RA and copy the information that was in the computer but if they were admitted her in the hospital
a year ago we should change the mss number situated at the top of the form. And then next is the basic
information of the patient her name, age, place of birth, address, birthday etc. And then how many of
them in the household divided by to the income they have and that is the per capita income. At the back
were the duration of the problem/symptoms must be filling out too.

And then I learned how to classify, we have Mss classification A,B,C1, C2, C3 and D. The
classification D stands for indigent PhilHealth such as 4p’s, nhts, senior citizen, and indigenous people.
The classification C1, C2, C3 those people who don’t have a philhealth that is belong to the D, most
probably patients that are classified in this section are those people who don’t have philhealth or they
have philhealth but not indigent, these philhealth may self-employed or private. C3 stands for 75
discount of the total bill, C2 for 50 percent discount of the total bill and the C1 has 25 percent of
discount of the bill. These classification must be based on the per capita income of the patients, that is
why a very effective interview is needed so that an appropriate classification must be serve. Then the
classified B those were the patients that are or shall I say well off children are highly professionals and
that they doesn’t need any discount for they have income that is higher to the set income we had.
Patients that are situated in the private or semi-private room with or without any kind of philhealth
were classified as A.

My first week is one of the best week in my life were I can say that “good job rose well done”
you deserve an ice cream for that one. I am very thankful to the social workers that help me to learn and
understand my mistakes and accepting me wholeheartedly.
2nd WEEK

October 1, 2017 second week assigned at the ER, I interviewed numerous of patients
recommend them to POC for they don’t have a philhealth and they doesn’t have enough income. I
mastered what I am going to say during giving the pink cards letting them to understand that the pink
card stands for the Id and they are already interviewed by the social worker they must not rip it into
pieces nor throw it they must give importance in it and bring it whenever they might readmitted. For
Poc especially to the seniors explaining to them that the process must be within three days in order to
enroll in the Poc or else they can not avail the Point of Care. In the second I realized we really have
extremely different patients and watchers to interviews in short they are not easy to deal with but the
other social workers like Maam Mae Ann will always remind us that we should prolong our patience and
keep on asking in order to get the real and genuine information and give them the best and appropriate
service they deserved. ER one of the busiest part of the hospital were we should be fast but reliable
workers for our patients. I learned that being in the ER where bunch of patients to cater we should eat
in the morning hahaha I’m not joking we need to be physically and mentally ready so as to work
effectively.
UNPARALLELED LOVE

I have learned from this short film is that it is not too late to correct or change the ungrateful
things we did because mistakes are just part of lives it just takes time to realize how ungrateful it is and
change it by putting God at the center of our lives.

SUGAT NG KAHAPON

I have learned from this short film is that pain from the past can be the reason for us to be
strong in the present or in the future, let those pain tore you apart but just always remember if we just
always open up to others about our problems they could be a big help to lessen it. And make your lives
better inh the future. Just remember all happy people in the presents had its most sad life.

TETAY

I Have learned from this short film is that, we do everything for the sake of the people we love
even if we sell our souls and body just to gain profit from it and can give life to our love ones but as the
days come by we realize that enough is enough and we must change ourselves for the better and for the
healthierlife so that we can help our family in a good and right wayof living.

USOK NG KAPALARAN

I have learned from this short film is that we realized things at the end from the bad things that
happen in our lives but we must always think that it is not too late to change ourselves as long as we are
willing to change our bad doings.

ULIRANG AMA INA

I have learned from this short film is that it doesn’t matter if the person nurtured us from birth
until we grew is nbot our biological parents as long as he/she has the heart and willingness to raise us no
matter what happened.

SERBIS

I have learned from this short film is that as a service provider we must give our best to serve
our clients as best as we can.
My overall learning about the short films are that, we have different problems in life it is up to
us on how we handle the situation. I just put into my mind that every problem hasits own solution to be
solved by us, and just put God at the center of our lives because problems are obstacles in that we need
to get through in order for us to be strong and become better people in this world.
1st WEEK

For this week, I have learned the important things needed to be done in our on job
training. First, is that we must wear our ID’s all the time inside the hospital during our duty and
name plates so that we can be identify as interns in the hospital. Second, is that we must
practice our lessons from school and put it into actions because we are already practicing with
one of thefields of a social worker as we interact with our clients inside the hospital that has
different personalities and I know that this training we are in is not an easy job because aside
from interacting with the clients, there are also many paper works to be done and we must read
books to have a lot of ideas that we can use in our field that we are into.

This week, we had our first community exposure the Community of Hope Special Education
Center, Catadman Acasia, Ozamiz City in which Maam Charita Alunan conducted a seminar, this learning
are useful for because soon we will also conduct a group working during our internship in the hospital.

This week, we had our orientations about the rules and regulations of the hospitals, the DO’S
and DON’TS and we had been oriented from what we are going to do for our on the job training. My
overall learning for this week are that in order for us to be good interns inside the hospital we must
follow the rules and regulations of the hospital and comply all the requirements needed to accomplish
our on the job training field instruction 1.

2nd week

This week, we are already assigned from different area wherein social workers are needed. I was
assigned in emergency with Marie Rose Berjame, every area there is two interns assigned. For my first
week of duty in the emergency room, I feel comfortable already because the social workers who are
assigned there, are very approachable and they are willing to guide us and help us if we have confusions
and hesitations about our intake they are there to guide and correct our works. Being assigned in the
emergency room is not easy job because we have to double time to interview and classify all the
patients admitted in the hospital, it is where patients come first before they will be admitted in the
hospital. I have interviewed different kinds of people, some has cases and some has different cases, I
also witnessed the deaths of the patients in the emergency room and there are also patients with
different diseases, transferrable or non- transferrable illnesses, so wemust take care of ourselves first to
maintain a healthy body and mind to help our clients.

For this week, I have learned that I must keep myself healthy to help other people and I must
double my time to interview and classify the patients in a fast but good quality of service. And lastly, I
must prolong my patience and understanding from the clients that we are handling and be humbled
enough to help other people and I must be possess the skills of interviewing so that I can get
information needed to give the right service to the client.
